I was curious if anyone would like to set a time/place for a get together at The AVR. I was thinking near Lloydz setup Saturday morning sometime? Thoughts / opinions?

We did this last year and had about 8 bikes show up. A small start, but it's good to put faces to screen names. If I can get away from the AVR tent, I'll be there.

I'm in. Let's look at the AVR schedule and try to pick a time when it won't conflict with anything. I think there is a time slot for a social hangout.

Sounds good was also wondering if any groups were riding up? We are leaving Thursday from Kansas planning on using Hwy 75 from Topeka, due to parts of Interstate 29 still being shut down from flooding. However 75 is a rough, slow, boring ride (nothing but corn fields). We would be willing to travel some east or west to meet with some fellow riders.

The Knight of Columbus put on a killer breakfast at the Roof Garden at Arnolds Park. Buy your tickets at the Victory/VMC registration tent on Friday, or at the door Saturday morning. It's like $5.00 or $6.00 bucks. What's a good time? They are open 6:30 to 11am

Where are you located? We might go to the AVR again..haven't really decided yet. It's only about 475 miles from here. We make it in one day easy. I'm in SW Missouri myself, about 70 miles from the Arkansas line and 16 miles from the Kansas line. Maybe we can ride together if the missus and I can get away to go the the AVR.

Lots of corn fields in Iowa and northern Missouri. Here, too.

How about 8am for breakfast. I would suggest earlier, but some may not be early risers. Me, I'm up with the sun.

Looks like I won't make it afterall.  I thought I had a sciatic nerve problem on my right side for the last couple of months, turns out it is degenerative osteoarthritis in my hip socket.  Riding the bike is no problem, just afraid I will drop it after a couple of hours in the saddle and go to put my foot down.  Scheduled to see a specialist on the 19th.  I'll definitely be thinking about you guys during that appointment.

Double disappointed because I planned 23 days off and was going up to the Great Northwest to meet some of the Washington/Vancouver crowd.  6,000 mile round trip cancelled.

Getting old sucks.  Hopefully will make it back next year (about 40 pounds lighter).

Songfan, sorry to hear of your nerve problem . . . It would have been nice to see you again. ClearVision is not kidding about the killer breakfast that KofC puts on. I worked it last year and the whole hog sausage is to die for! I too have an appointment with Lloydz to get those new cams installed . . . Can't wait! Name the time and place and I'll be there!

Thanks guys.  Makes me sick to miss it.  Made some good friends last year and was looking forward to making many more on the big trip.  VisionTex and I did the breakfast last year and it was great.

I'll be hanging on every tidbit, so you guys that are going please post pics and updates!

Which means you'll probably go west on 54 from Collins to Nevada, then north on 71. We could meet at Nevada if we go. I'm still thinking about it, but the missus and I have to be back here on the 21st, so we would have to head back Saturday. Prior family commitments. Are you still going up on the 17th? It's a one day ride.

Earlier I mentioned 10am at Lloyd's dyno as a meeting place but then someone floated the idea of breakfast at 8am. That might be too early for some so how about we split the diff and meet at Lloyds dyno at 9am then walk over for breakfast?

I'll be the one with the Vision-Rider tshirt

If I can make it I will be at Loydz Dyno trailer by 9am. My Vision has some gas tank problems so I plan on taking the 03 TCD and riding hard to meet you all! Not employed right now so will need to see what the check book says next Friday morning. My plan is to:

Ride hard, ride fast, but above all ride safe.......

We should all show up with a white T shirt.
On the shirt we should write "Victory come out with a clothing line" or "Victory we want T shirts" any thing that would make vic take notice. If there was a thousand of us with a white T shirt saying something maybe they would catch on.
This is our only chance to make a statement

The gas tank filler area was badly damaged and a new version cap does not help. I cannot fill this tank or it leaks on my thigh and bike. I am so happy now that I am used to the Vision that I do ride it but need to stop to fill it up more often so it does not spill over when leaving the gas station. So, today I got my mail and my fate is sealed with a medical bill that will not allow me to go to the AVR. You all have a great time and I will make it there in my own time. Keep the up dates coming and we will meet again, another time and place my Brothers and Sisters....

Ride hard, ride fast, but above all ride safe and free...
