Just got back from a 4300 mile, 2 week trip leaving from Kentucky through Colorado, Grand Canyon and Utah! It was hot, but the Vision performed awesome. Wow, what a bike! After 1 1/2 years of ownership now, I do not have any regrets buying this bike. I was comfortable while my Harley buddy on his Ultra Classic was complaining of discomfort of the seat making him miserable after the second day. During this trip, I saw around a dozen Visions from Springfield, MO, Kansas, Arizona and Utah. I saw two white Visions both pulling trailers going towards Flagstaff. One Vision was just like mine (Black Street Premium) which pulled into a view point area where I was going towards the north rim of Grand Canyon. He stopped, we chatted for a few minutes. While in Flagstaff I had my oil change at the Victory dealer "Flagstaff Powersports" and were real friendly and were able to get me in right away. I had called them a week earlier just to warn them I would be in the area.

Other than the extreme Kansas heat, we had a great time seeing some of the beauty this great nation has to offer. Some of the sights we saw were going up the Cog Railway at Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Royal Gorge Bridge at Canon City, Gunnison, Rode Million Dollar Highway from Montrose CO to Durango. Four Corners, Flagstaff, Sodona, South and North Rims of Grand Canyon. Zion, Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, National Scenic Byway Hwy 12 in Utah, and Arches National Parks. Not to mention all the attention the Vision recieved during the trip. Not one problem, great trip!

You pretty much covered Southern Utah and most of what there is to see in Arizona!
I love riding in that area and all around the 4 corners.
Gas stations tend to be pretty far apart and carrying extra water is a must.
I should be heading that way again in late August or early September.
Planning that trip right now.

Incredible trip! We are planning a very similar one in September. From Los Angeles through northern Arizona, Prescott, Flagstaff, Monument Valley, then on thourgh southwestern Colorado (Durango, Ouray, Ridgeway, Telluride), through Utah to Zion, then back across northern Arizona to the Grand Canyon, back to Flagstaff, Route 66, then back home.

If anyone can recommend Victory dealers along the way, it would be greatly appreciated. I have yet to need one while on the road, but always like to know where they are just in case. I have already noted the dealer in Flagstaff, but if anyone has any other recommendations along the way, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

That was me!

I was on a trip with friends from Volusiariders. None of us were on Volusias anymore, but we had a great time through the same area. Utah Hwy 12 is a gem every rider should make time for. Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon are incredible. Zion is crowded, but worth it for the tunnel and amphitheter alone. At 100+ degrees the Vision gets a little warm, but you are right, no problems at all.

Well, if you dip a bit south to Albuquerque, NM, I would highly recommend Rosedale Motor Sports. Mike, the owner, is a great guy, and will take care of you if you get into trouble.

Hey byufan! It was good seeing and meeting you on our road trip! I can't say enough about the Vision. I love it! Comfortable ride, fast and not to mention, a fun bike to ride. Yup, it's a bike before it's time. And I'm glad I own one!
