| Just a heads up as many folks rode into Erie for last years Roar... It is next week and they are anticipating around 65k bikes again. Victory will have their HD verses Victory Demo trailer there which means loads of fun free rides.
Even though I'm not riding a Vic at present, I am still i the local club and help out for this event. Hope to see some of you there. Here is a link

| Trekwolf, when you get to the Victory Demo trailer ask for Tim (me). It would be nice meeting some more folks from here. I'll be helping out with the demo rides again this year along with the other members of the Lake Erie Freedom Chapter. |

Posts: 92 Fort Walton Beach, FL | Just be careful about using Off Road Express's service department... recently had a front tire replaced and they broke the rear plastic part of the front fender at the bolt hole and never told me about it... I guess because I was just passing thru and didn't live in the area. After I left there I kept hearing a rattle every time I hit a bump in the road... finally located the broken piece. Also they are new and still toeing the company line for anything that is not right with the bikes..."that's normal" has been firmly ingrained into their vocabulary... even though I have been riding for 47 years, much longer than most of them have been alive. It's not normal for a bike to shimmy and shake while cornering and it should be a smooth transition from upright to lean around a corner. |

Donna, Deer Crusher and myself rode out Wed It was 79 degrees and clear route 17 West was empty we had the rode to ourselves for the most part .
We hit rain about 3 hours away from home ,we did the stop under an overpass put on gear rode about 45 min and it was great again all the way to Erie.
Route 17 W is all farm and forest for the most part ponds ,streams, small antique stores .
We stop about ever 2 hours so we travled 8 hours there Garmin street pilot 2720 works fine.
We had ipod issues my cable was defective ,New one is in now, It worked until about 3 hours left to get home,
The radio is junk if the station is not close the auto tune finds nothing.
Erie PA is beautiful the area around the lake is beach front there are many great resturants and attractions, zoo ,water park, and off road adventures
A pack of smokes was under 6 bucks a pack Beer was reasonable.
The Roar will put its procceds from this year into The Flight 93 Memorial
The event started thursday morning in the parking lot of a casino there thousands of bikes gathered it was like a candy store paint ,chrome and motors everywhere.
The highlight of the weekend for me was seeing two original Indians and their owner still rolling strong
The people of Erie could have been nicer they Bar B- Qued on their front lawns under American Flags and gave us refreshments along the route
The Party in the center of town was massive the Vendors were great Donna bought dark to light riding glasses and a new half helmet.
Victory was a Marque Sponser they had a demo truck on site they would not allow people to ride in short sleeves this caused some grumbles amoungst those rejected.
Victory should have had reflective Logo Mesh jackets and Gave that guy from PA his Vision on Stage they missed a great moment to steal this Rally because HD is big in PA I saw a couple thousand HD's only hundreds of Victorys but I saw several Visions. There was a mix of brands and home made rides
The Stage was in the Hub the center of town The sound was good
There were several Rides The Mayor Joe rode in every ride there were two on Sat. Donna wanted to do the second Ride Sat but I was sun burned and thirsty
We put a thousand and eight miles on Deer Crusher over 5 days and are still talking.
