Needed the zip ties that are used on the vision handlebars to hold wires in place. Dealer  No have. Have to order. So a hundred yards away is a harley dealer so I went there yes they has them $2.15 for two.

Any how I walked out to my bike and the bike next to me had a Chevy decal on the front faring. Just had to laugh my ass of. Yes Chevy sticker. Now thats taste a harley with a Chevy sticker.

I thought they were linked with ford.

I know what you mean---Ford & Harley, but my brother is a big HD fan and a wrench at Chevy dealership. He also drives Chevy along with a bunch of his HD friends. So Harley riders and Chevy drivers do go hand in hand--but Chevy is smart enough not to back Harley. I thought I read somewhere a few years ago that Victory & Chevy were trying to team up on a Silverado. Anyone else remember this?

And, if you'd gone to HOMER or SLOWES, a thermos bottle sized tube of PANDUITS (aviation name for tie wraps) would have been about $6-8 bux and you'd have a lifetime supply and yes, they are available in colors and sizes/lengths/widths. RADIO SHACK is another, non dealer prices source.

..they have to be american made motorcycle zip-ties.

stickers are stickers, most people I see on the road with Harley stickers in the back window are chevy pickups with the fenders about to fall off...

There are also a lot of people that don't own a motorcycle and have Harley stickers in their back windows driving Chevys, Dodge, Ford, etc. The mystic of Harley followers is so much greater than Victory right now, it is really hard not to find a Harley sticker on any type of vehicle no matter its condition.

If it's a nice day and I see a pick up with a H-D sticker in the window, I ask myself 'is he going to pick it up from the shop, or did he just drop it off?'

When I was test riding 'SYNSTR' before I bought it, I stopped @ a light and a rollback pulled up next to me to turn left into the H-D dealer with some guys ULTRA on the back. I glanced back, turned my head and nodded slowly to the rider sitting in the cab, cracked a sort of half smile at him and rode away when the light changed.

That would have brought a smile to my face also! I have to laugh at all the non-Victory motorcycles I see in the back of a pickup or on a trailer. I think to myself--why aren't you riding it!!! I can honestly say that I haven't seen any Victory motorcycles being hauled around for quite some time. Kind of makes a statement about the brand we ride!!

Got 2 HD or nothing coworkers who have not been on their bikes this year because this or that needs to be fixed. I just don't get it when they still insist that they have the better bike.

This reminds me of a question I often got asked over  MANY years of biking: "Are you ever going to buy a Harley?"

My STANDARD answer thru the years was "NO!"

When they asked "Why?" - my STANDARD answer was: "I can't afford a Pickup Truck".

They would ask "What has that got to do with buying a Harley?"

My answer (of course) was "You need one to go and pick it up when it breaks down.... "

My Pickup owning Harley pals never did find this 'amusing'  - I guess cuz it's true.
