Take her out for a birthday ride, some place nice with a view, good food and drink

I waited a year before I removed the sticker...
First stop for the Vision this morning will be a visit my Mother's house to help fix the computer printer/copier. She needs a little more help now that my Father has passed on. Then they have corn on sale at the local grocery monopoly (H.E.B.) 7 ears for a dollar. After that I will visit my cousin to swap some family history. We are both working on some family tree stuff.
So the ride will have a great view...from the seat of the Vision everything looks better...I will call the corn the good food and considering the heat this summer I will be be drinking a lot of water.

Great bike "but" a nice bikini girl pointing out all the mods would have made the video |

Posts: 562 SC, Bluffton | Man, this thread made me realize I am over 3 and 1/2 years now. November
of 2007 I brought mine home. I still have the original back tire on!
I am right under 15,000 miles. The Vision shares time with 2 other MC's, so
that is my excuse.
I still have people in parking lots that have never seen a Vision before. They
think it is fresh out of a dealership. I wished I still had a dearlership.
I still admire my little molding dimples the first ones had. I wasn't interested in
swapping those out.
Okay, what did I miss, did radioteacher hit a deer?

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | Trekwolf164 calls his bike "Deer Crusher" and "john frey" got a little confused....no problem. I do agree with John that I bikini model would have improved the video.
I have not hit a deer buy but I did kill a suicidal Armadillo awhile back with my bike "Sparks".
I did get something for Sparks....my new Amateur Radio License Plates should be in this week.
Dimples....my Vision was made in December of 2007 and missed the side bag door with the dimple.

Posts: 171 San Antonio, Texas | What a coincidence, Paul. I rode my VV home on 7/3/08, too. You have twice the mileage I do, but our weekends are packed by being the care provider for my mother in law. So, about all I get to do is the back and forth to work. I'll be packing on the mileage one of these days, though. Ride hard, ride safe. |

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | I think I need a tissue, birthday time and all! Man you guys are a sentimental bunch, next thing you know, you'll be buying it berries and chocolate. Buy it chrome, treat that valiant steed like it is meant to lead the pack, which it does quite well, not like some poor sap in the background whining into his hanky about he should have been at the front.
Give that steed one of those athletic football slaps on the butt, three times, swing a leg, tell that steed Happy Birthday and Ride on!
I'm done, had a little bit of hallucinatory heat stress going on, but, Hi Yo Silver AWAY! |

Teach, I am still having a great time with my Vision. So far (over 24,000 miles) so good.
About three months ago a dear friend of mine bought a Yamaha Morphus scooter with a 250cc engine. Trust me, I tried to explain that should be on a motorcycle....but alas he bought it anyway. He got my copy of Ride like a Pro V and Twist of the Wrist I and II. Since then he has passed the MSF basic course and got the M on his license.
Sunday the guy calls me and asks if I can go riding...I could not but told him to get a Burger south of Fredericksburg, TX. While eating the Burger, he got the idea to go and see the wife and kids that were visiting the in-laws. So he took off for Comanche, TX. At the end of the day he completed a 265 mile ride on a 250cc scooter.
The next day he rode the scooter 180 miles back to San Antonio.
After the ride I smiled when he said "I am spending less of my 10$ on coordinating braking and turning." You should smile too since reading "Twist of the Wrist I and II" was your suggestion.

You know I have lead "Sparks" astray a few times....but nothing I could not pick her up and ride away from.
