| I will be there. They usually post about 2 weeks before when the get together will be.
I feel real bad they did not call you and find out you personally won't be there on Friday and they should reschedule everything for you. How dare them..... And you only live a day away. |

|
You guys should stay home. Your about to enter into the black hills Drug. Your going to find beautiful roads sites that will keep you awake at night thinking of all you have seen. Beautiful women good food and drinks. More T shirts then one needs to own. Nights are nothing but party's were ever you stay. Meeting people from all over the world. You'll find out getting up at 8am will be great cause there is so much to see and you'll go home thinking there was places you missed and have to go back. You'll come home and being the bastard you are your going to tell all that didn't go what you saw and how beautiful it is so now they will have to go and yes you'll have to go with them to show them all you did and saw. Take a jacket it gets cold at night and hot during the day. I have been up in the hills and was dry as could be where down in the citys they were wet with rain. Pick up a map and when your having breakfast plan your ride for the day. You can find this map every place. I and a few friends have this map on the garage wall so friends can say did you go here or there.

Remember dances with the wolves? Your going to be in that country so keep you eyes open for the buffalo elk deer and don't feed the donkeys.

Posts: 785 Mt. Vernon, WASH. | And, since some marketing outfit has copyrighted the names 'STURGIS' and STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY' don't expect to find much in the way of 'trash and trinkets' carrying those words. Even the stuff sold @ Mt. Rushmore can't say 'STURGIS' on it. Might want to drop a line to your elected representative about this, and maybe after they finish up the pro wrestling match over who's going to ruin the creditworthiness of the country, they might get around to addressing copyrighting of geographical named places.
Go, drink a beer, spill mustard on your tee shirt then head for home. |

| For you guys going to sturgis if your staying at a motel ups your stuff to them and do the same when going home. If your staying at a camp ground call them and ask them if you can ship stuff to them. If you stay at a camp grounds take flip flops for the shower. It so much nicer on a long ride not caring all you clothing. I shipping stuff to Idaho and from there shipping stuff to the motel in Dead Wood.
My girl friend makes me take all my old socks and underwear and has me throw them a way when I'm done with them and buy new stuff out there. Yes they have all the same stories in the Hills as we do at home.
Don't for get comfortable shoes cause you will walk a lot.
If you stay in Spearfish ask around the senor centers have good breakfast for a cheap price and more then you can eat. |

Posts: 329 scotts valley, California | I kinda get a kick out of carrying all my stuff. I took the tour pack off of my vision and have a little plywood platform (about 30x24 inches) installed over the license plate and rear seat. My bedroll, tent and clothing are in three cylindrical bags that tie onto the platform making the top of the load less than the height of the tour pack. My CPAP and 50 foot extension cord go in one saddle bag leaving the other for water and munchies.
If I could find someone to fab it up, I'd eliminate the back seat and put like a little pick up bed on the back. Arlen Ness would probably have a kitten if he saw that. |

Posts: 329 scotts valley, California | If I succeed in posting photos here, you can see my beautiful pick-up bed that holds a lot more than the tour pack with a lower center of gravity. Another cylindrical bag goes on each side of the one shown and a small case on the very back. The bed roll shown makes a great backrest.

Nice truck
Your tail fixtures reminded me of a Victory Trike owner he planed on putting three XC Tail light fixtures in the rear like your crosses.
Victory is having a party at the Chip and a Ride there out of Deadwood on Aug 11 2011 DeerCrusher and I plan to be there as well.
Hope to shake some fellow Victory owners hands and put faces with screen names |
