Doesn't use manufacturer's oil brand and filter.

Come folks, have fun with this...what do you do that other's say you shouldn't do, but you do with no adverse affect?

Kickstand is an absent minded thing and have never used the Vic oil and filter or Honda's. Have used the rain gear on the Vic but not so much.

I spend more time riding my bike then cleaning it. Actually the cleaning goes in line with the oil changes, roughly every 2500 miles.

Going to change my oil and not use a new copper crush washer. And just to make matters worse Amsoil is going in the crankcase and I'll rinse out the old filter with the garden hose.

I'm a Clearwater Sniper.

I normally ride with them set at 50% daytime and 30% nighttime.  If I run across an obviously obnoxious driver (the one with the three arrows stuck to the car, driving below the speed limit in the passing lane) I will slowly crank the Clearwaters up to 100% and back off a couple of car lengths for maximum effect.  This, coupled with my silver EXO-100 "Cop" helmet never fails to get them to change lanes.

I crank the Clearwaters back to the appropriate setting and lead the parade of cars that have been backed up behind us past the idiot.  Of course, there is only one person in that story who thinks I was behaving badly.  I can live with that.

On the way home from ROT on Friday I was stuck in traffic in Downtown Austin. The guy I was riding with changed lanes left and got in front of a motor home. I safely pulled in behind the motor home and stayed there for about a mile.

Traffic stopped.....so I lane split with the Vision in the seven foot gap between concrete barrier and the Motorhome. The other rider was shocked....he thought that I would never do that.

Ride....safe.

HIS AND HER DIARY FOR THE SAME DAY:

Her Diary:

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much. I asked him what was wrong; He said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it. On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior I don't know why he didn't say, 'I love you, too.' When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

His Diary:

Had trouble finding neutral on the way home, why?

It takes a special woman to understand. I took a picture of my wife sitting on my bike as the pilot. When I pulled the picture up, I said "Beautiful!", "And you look wonderful as always." She just smiled...

I have the S1L2 and it is better but not obnoxious. I am definitely NOT saying it is the best sounding or best performance. But, it is (was) a pretty decent upgrade. I don't think they offer it anymore but it is fair.... and the wife says it isn't beating her up too bad back there...
That being said, I agree 100%!!!!!!!

Add that second air filter that goes under instrument panel and add a fuel controller that will help wake it up. This engine has a hard time breathing with that little air filter behind the head light.

Yup, unpredictable handling due to use of a product not designed for the application.

Seems to me that the "passenger seat" was clearly intended for use by other than the driver/rider; can result in unpredictable handling due to use of a product not designed for the application.

ah, more bikers behaving badly.  Citing a reason in a counter post to a previous post with an out of context comment.  Actions vs Application, are apples and oranges.

Seasoned Veteran of (riding) (being ridden) (harangued) (chastised) marriage while riding, ooooogling young hot twentysomething on a crotch rocket. How would the story around the campfire play out in a few years of strategic use of new adjectives to spruce up the story a wee bit.

As the old Jeff Foxworthy joke goes:

The young guy: There I was, tied to the bed posts, she walks in with a saddle in one hand and a can of motor oil in the other......

The old guy: There I was, watching the Olympics, and Mama walked by in her good Nightgown, and I thought, I can watch this on the DVR anytime.....

Somehow, just can't compete.......

I rode behind a Vespa at about 10 under for about 3 miles in light city traffic on a 4 lane street even though I could have passed at any time. Of course the passenger was a beautiful local stripper with great tatts, wearing a thong bikini and holding up a sign for a tattoo parlor up to all passers by. I went a mile out of my way before I finally turned off.

I'd tell you but my wife might read this!

Actually, I was describing this at work and one of the single guys asked me me describe the tatts, and he told me her name and which club she worked at.  I, unfortunately , have no first hand knowledge.
