Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | I made a change again to the Vision, last time it was the seat beads, now it's something different. If you know a Vision you'll see the change. I'll just say; I like the change and it is something I can definitely live with.

The garage is nice, but you might want to think about some of that speckled epoxy paint for the floor to really make it classy. |

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | true lenny, I'll put it to the test tomorrow. I think the reason the heat is dispersed better is that the uppers are parallel with the bike. I rode an 8-ball that doesn't have the uppers and found it not to be a problem either with heat, for me. So in essence, because of the color, I'm working my way to a 7-ball.
Don't get me wrong, I feel the heat, it's just not an issue for me. No burned skin, not uncomfortable, or over bearing. I've rode hundreds of miles on a scorching desert highway and never gave it a thought.

Posts: 258 Akron, Ohio | There is no way I personally would remove my uppers or my lowers. I find them way to useful. In the rain, cold, heat, what ever condition, I can find a setting that makes the ride more comfortable. This is just my opinion of coarse, and yours may vary.

That is a personal choice. But I do recall that you were the one who said," function over form". Or something like that. |

Posts: 88 Lavon, TX | Personally, I love the functionality of my color matched uppers and lowers (www.cycleopsusa.com), and that electric windshield - I can flare them all outward and form a nice bubble of heated air, perfect for early morning rides without requiring use of a jacket. Same positioning during light rain, and there's no need to stop and don the rain gear. Pull in the lowers, drop the windshield, adjust the uppers parallel to the bike - and I've got a stream of air flowing into the open ports of my Aria helmet, over my open finger gloved hands, and wisking away that awful engine heat. I do like the look of the color matched set MUCH better than the clear factory ones (thanks, Will) - folded in, they blend in and are barely noticeable. I DO notice a great difference in the aerodynamics (negatively) of the bike at higher speeds when these are in their flared position, so make sure they are tucked in before racking that throttle... |

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | they're all over the place, and there's even a post dedicated to them, the next one over. This one is about louvers, them things that stick out of the side of the bike. Just a note on them, I don't disregard one bit over the functionality and the use of them, I know what the lower and uppers can do. But, I like my riding experience and the Vision does fine without all that other stuff. Charbin points out another thing that I hadn't given much thought, and I won't swear by it, and it may be a combo of tightening the steering head nut properly, but the bike seemed refreshingly stable on my way to SC on Sunday. I can't say much about yesterday as I spent it leisurely on 301 most of the time.
I say to one and all, enjoy your bike the way you enjoy it, I was just sharing my experience. |

love 'em, keeps the bike even more stable and makes me believe I'm going faster than I really am. Oh, wait, I am going that fast....it distracts the radar...whew! |

Then you've hidden a flux-capacitor in the trunk. Which might explain the futuristic design of the Vision.
Or a trunk monkey. I vote for the trunk monkey.
