Posts: 219 Pittsburgh, PA | I'm looking for a storage bag for the dash area between the dash and wind shield. I've seen a few pics on this forum but nothing recent. DOes anyone know of a bag that can hold up to the weather that has enough compartments to make it worth while? | |

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | taz, I got the exclusive VDO (Vision Dash Organizer), but I don't say to rub that in. It was very labor intensive to get the first one done because of the curvature and material used to make the inside. After using it for over a year there is some definite improvements to make, and hopefully bring the cost down considerable from the $400 I paid for it. There is, however, some polaris bag for the snowmobiles that some has gotten to work on the dash and cost around $50. or so, don't remember so don't quote me. It is on the polaris accessory page.
What's the difference? The VDO is made exclusively for the Vision to match the dash space and to hold its shape whether empty or full and it is leather. I used my everytime I ride with cellphone and wallet in the bag, never have the bump or hurting back, and never have to get off my bike to find my cell in the trunk or wallet. Registration is there too so I can stay on the bike. Glasses fit nicely and don't get crushed.
The other bag, well it's limp...
As far as getting more VDOs made, well, I've got to check on some other internal material that will be easy to form and to cover with leather, for the best shape and look. I want to get back to this as others were expecting one, but the push was too great and I'm glad that I held out because I have discovered some improvements that I'll even enjoy on the VDO II.

| Well Cap'n, I'll would like one,or at least see some pictures of the new version. As far as cost goes,I am liminted on income ,but if it's what I want or need I'll just have to save and get one. After all these Visions aren't cheap !If I was to buy another bike,it would for sure be a Vision, either two wheel or three wheel as long as was as great as my 09 is! So keep us posted on what you end up with and the price. The demand is far greater than the supply! | |
