| you really have to shift the tranny just right..or it's a clunky SOB.....if your technique is just right the tranny just "sincks" into gear..quiet as any I have ever owned. I havent figgered it out just yet..........But I will |

Posts: 2026 Brighton, TN | I'm a little different, I stomp on mine to get it into first, just so it will go Ka-Thunk! Maybe I just like the raw sound of metal colliding and the jolt in the seat from the gears getting to know each other. It's a little primal, but I LOVE IT!
Songfan, said he knew how to do it, I don't remember which thread though. |

Pressing hard on the shift lever will place undo wear and tear on the shift forks.
All that is need is a gentle press.
Also it seems a lighter press does reduce the clunk. |

You are definitely a "little different"- livin in "nowhere" Tenn with chickins and a embroidery machine that apparently also goes "clunk" - Maybe you should change you name from poloolpoop to clunk - You'r kids could call you "clunk" instead of chikinDAD- sorry- maybe it is Ka-Thunk!! LOL |

| Well I don't own a Vision yet but I do own a '99.
Also make sure your RPMs are all the way down before shifting into first. I have found myself shifting before she is at idle causing pressure across the system.
