I have an 08 VV, ordinarily starts like a damn. In the last couple weeks the following has happened a few times. I hit the starter and cranks over, but only half way fires a little pop. Have to do this at least a dozen times before it starts and runs. Once running all is great, but fear that one of these times the battery will die trying to start it.
Anyone else with this?

Nope. My 08 has always started flawlessly. Even after sitting in a cold barn all winter.

You didn't say how cold it was. I know they tell you never to touch the throttle when starting, but sometimes you need to crack it just a smig above idle. When my 'o8 was new it would never 'hands free' start below 40F. After it was 'climatized' the first season it was much better. But ti still needs a touch of throttle when it gets into the 20s F.
