I had posted earlier that my wife and I were in an accident with a Jeep. We are OK, but bike is messed up. Insurance person with the other negligent party has been excellent to work with.

Dealer has bike apart and has all parts in hand except for one which is back-ordered till end of May / early June. We have a weekend ride coming up with friends and need to get this bike back together.

Part I'm missing is LH Rear Vertical Tip Over support (either PN 5250029 or 5135913 . . . one is a newer version) for a 2009 Victory Vision. Mine is bent all to hell and cannot be straightened.

Hoping for the following:

- Anyone have a salvage bike (or know of one) where this part is still good? I'll buy it from you.
- Anyone buy one to install tip overs on a Vision 8 Ball and decide not to go through with it?
- Any of you dealers that have one on the shelf?
- Anyone have their bike parked for the next month or so and be willing to have me pay you to remove and ship and I'll replace it later (yeah I know it's a long shot, but I'm desperate to get back on and ride!)
- Have any other creative ideas to get me this part early next week?

Thanks for trying to help a fellow Victory Rider out! I'll post diagram in a few minutes.

Either as a group, more of us are trying to be the tricycle guy from Laugh-In, and falling over, or POLARIS has been talking to any Japanese manufacturer about suport. It's getting to be just like every time in the past if I went to the YOMAMA parts counter, and asked for the time of day, the answer was always 'bout six weeks or so'.
Have you asked about having the dealer rob a part from a bike in the store?

Sheez....ya live within a few miles of the Vic plant don't you?

I'd actually consider heading over there and seeing if I could find a suit dude and see if there was any possible way he could possibly walk out on the floor and grab one out of a box for you.

I admit it would be a rare chance but If someone at the plant could possibly do that for you.....talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!

Yeah, I called the plant and got routed eventually to engineering and had to leave a message. Based on what I read on the boards about Victory Customer service, I was thinking it was a long shot. Besides, the plant is busting butt working all kinds of OT trying to keep up with demand and if these parts truly are on back-order, that would be one less bike they could build.

BOY WERE MY ASSUMPTIONS WRONG ABOUT VICTORY CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Got a call a few minutes ago from Victory Engineering. He explained that they have a Biker Down Program, he listened to my message, saw my order in the system, and was working to expedite the shipment of that part from the supplier. Should have it to the dealer early next week! I need to buy that guy a beer! Hat's off to Victory on their customer service!

That's neat! Get his name and send his Boss a really flowery letter about 'whataguy, whataguy' and how you are going to spread the word about POLARIS' going the extra mile for it's customers.

Most excellent!  Sounds like you back-doored the typical Customer Service number by calling the plant direct.  Once you get in touch with the right people, I know Victory always steps up.  It's just a matter of getting to the right person and showing you have tried to use their "system" to fix the problem.
