Posts: 23 Stony Mountain, MB Canada | I am in the process of trying to install a Victory drivers backrest part # 2878036 with mounting kit part # 2877809 on my 2009 Victory Vision Tour Premium and I can not get the mounting kit bracket far enough ahead to clear the wiring harnes plug in the main ECM. Has any one else don this and if so how did you get enough clearance? Thanks, Neal |

Posts: 23 Stony Mountain, MB Canada | I noticed on the parts break downs on line that the 2008 & 2009 Visions have the same heated seat and the 2010 and 2011 use the same heated seat. Victory must have changed the profile on the bottom side of the seat when they put the passenger grab strap on the 2010 models. Also on the accessories list for the mounting kit part # 2877809, it says that it fits 2010 & 2011 bikes, but doesn't mention 2008 & 2009.
So it is looking like my oprtions are getting smaller as I will have to rework the bracket to try to get it far enough ahead to clear the computer or give up on mounting it on my 2009 seat and look for a seat off of a newer model. Has any one made the mounting bracket work on a 2008 or 2009 seat?
So that brings me to my next question, does any one have a 2010 or 2011 heated Vision Seat part # 2684352 for sale and if so how much do you want for it?
Thanks,
Neal |

The reason I didn't go with that brand of backrest was that it is not as easily removed when you are not using it and the mount isn't as clean looking when it is removed compared to the Victory model of backrest.
Thanks,

Posts: 71 Willmar, MN | I got it installed on mine. 08 with heated seat. It was not easy, I had to cut the seat pan to get the receiver in and then make brackets out of some 16 ga sheet metal that matched the back of the seat pan to secure it. It works good but but took some fabrication. I replace a Utopia with this because of the size of the Utopia. |

Posts: 160 Camas Washington | Candyman, I was looking at the Utopia backrest but when when I made a cardboard cutout of the size and had my wife sit on the back, the width of it made it uncomfortable for her. She is tall 5'11" with long legs so I was surprised the copy I made pushed her legs out. Does your significant other have any issues with the possible lack of space and size of the backrest. |
