Posts: 160 Camas Washington | last night I received my V Wing rack from Will. The installation instruction seem cumbersome. Its advising to take the trunk lid off then the inside liner. I asked Will and he stated the instructions are from mother vic. My question is for anyone who installed a rack, were you able to just pull the inside liner off with the lid still attached to the trunk, find the dimbles were the holes go and then just drill them and install. I assume if you can do it this way it would take 2 people, one to hold the lid. |

Posts: 160 Camas Washington | Well I was able to install the rack in under 30 minutes. Real easy, take the screws out, unhook the light connectors, drill, install and put back together. Why Vic advises to take the top off in its service manual is very obvious. More time by the Vic mechanic means more money they can charge. The Cycle-ops rack looks great and its very solid, I'm positive it have handle more than enough of what you can back in a bag. |

Did you buy a "Special" bit? Use painters tape to drill thru? |
