As I posted on the VMC - just thought I'd share here too:

I have a customer with a Crossbow. They were complaining about the front tire shake and wanted to try out Kewlmetal's new 8degree trees. So I called up Joe and ordered a set up. The ordering and shipping went super smooth and in a few days they showed up at the shop. Joe instructed me to ride the trike first to get a feel for how it handled "after".
So when the customer brought the trike down I went out and rode it a bit. On a straight, flat road it was fine, but get it in town, over a few bumps and the damn bars were in constant tank-slapper mode. It made me remember why I really hate trikes, my arms hurt after about 6 miles.
So back to the shop. The install was very straightforward. The product is top-notch - very trick! Went ahead and changed fork oil while I was in there. Then back to the street.
What I noticed was the trike handled more like it was on rails. At 70mph I could weave inbetween the dotted lines in the road. In town the tank slap feeling when you hit bumps and rises is GREATLY diminished. My arms felt fine after 20 miles of running errands. You know - it's still a trike. You still have to push it in the corners and it's still a physical job to operate one of these things.....but the Kewlmetal trees made it much easier to do. And the bike looks cooler (Kewler?) too!
Customer comes next week to take delivery - then we'll see what they have to say about the changes.

Yes, when I test rode a Crossbow at Sturgis last year it takes quite a bit to point her into a turn. Reminded me of driving my '49 Buick without power steering. I wondered if a steering stabilizer would help but maybe the new trees do the trick? Keep us posted on what the customer thinks.

Customer took it yesterday and called me today. They were very pleased with the results. It only took a half a block for her to feel the difference - and she liked it! They're happy, I'm happy, everybody happy!
