Lansing, MI | The Alpine KTP 445 is a great little amp. It's perfect for the Vision! It's 45 watts x 4 channels @ 4 ohms. You will need better speakers too.
I thought I would share the info and steps I took to hook up this amp or Power Pack as Alpine calls it. The KTP 445 is meant to be plugged inline with any "newer" Alpine head unit. To use it on anything else requires a little work. Here's what wires you will use, what you won't and what goes where:
Alpine KTP 445-
12V+ Constant - Yellow
Ground - Black
Remote - Blue/White
Left Front Speaker Positive - White
Left Front Speaker Negative - White/Black
Right Front Speaker Positive - Gray
Right Front Speaker Negative - Gray/Black
Left Rear Speaker Positive - Green
Left Rear Speaker Negative - Green/Black
Right Rear Speaker Positive - Violet
Right Rear Speaker Negative - Violet/Black
The speaker wires are on BOTH sides of the amp, input and output!
ALSO:
The male connector is on the input side and all you will need is the speaker wires. Just connect these to the bike. All you need is the speaker wires listed above. Cut the rest off. ( See picture.)
The female connector is the input side for the power and ground. It's the output side for the speakers. You will not use the wires below, cut them off.
Blue
Orange
Yellow/Blue
Pink
Red
VISION- Speaker wires located under console. The big plug coming out of the radio. -
Left Front Speaker Positive - Brown/Red
Left Front Speaker Negative - Brown/Black
Right Front Speaker Positive - Gray/Red
Right Front Speaker Negative - Gray/White
Left Rear Speaker Positive - Orange/Red
Left Rear Speaker Negative - Orange/Black
Right Rear Speaker Positive - Pink/Red
Right Rear Speaker Negative - Pink/Black

I decided to mount the amp on top of the left gas tank. Someone else had done this before. The other option would be In a saddle bag. I think the top of the tank will be a fairly dry spot and it will allow the amp to run cooler. If you put it in the bag, you will need way more wire, it might get to warm and it will take up some space. This is on a "Street" if you have the Tour pack or trunk it could go in the hole.
I ran the 12V+ Constant (Yellow) wire right from the battery to the amp. It runs up the front of the gas left gas tank to the amp. I hooked he black ground wire to a bracket and the switched (blue/white) wire to a unused connector. See pictures. I soldered everything and used heat shrink.

Lansing, MI | I took the seat off, didn't need to. The red arrow shows the connector that plugs into the radio. That's where I spliced in for the input side of the amp.

Lansing, MI | In the pics above, you can see the white and gray wires for the input of the front speakers. The one green wire is for the rear speakers, the rest are out of the frame. I ran those from the top of the tank where the amp is, around the back of the intake plate onto the right side to the connector. You can see the looms I used.
In this pic you can see the back of the amp sitting on top of the left tank:

Lansing, MI | The amp will go in to the right of the fuse box, just below it. You'll have to take some stuff apart to get it in there! In the second pic you can see the nice flat, open spot for the amp to go. I used two strips of Velcro to mount it.

Lansing, MI | Infinity Reference 5032's. I warmed the speaker "boxes" up with a torch and made a bulge so they would fit. You can see it in the pic above.

It seems like my amp install is always coming up. (people asking questions) I have a bad memory and always have to check this thread. Anyway, I just spent five minutes looking for this so I thought I would make a post and bring this thread back to life.
BTW, last summer I FINALLY picked up some speakers for my trunk and finished wiring the amp for the rear speakers. It rocks pretty good but I did notice a "loss" of power or punch or loudness or whatever you want to call it to the front speakers. That being said, it's great when the wife is with me. Now we can both hear the music just fine and when I take the trunk off, move the fade all the way to front, I'm back to rocken'!
