Posts: 189 Baltimore, Md | My Popcorn Machine Accessory has been in full throat this season already and since I am preparing for a tour in May, I took the '08 Vision to the shop to check the exhaust and some battery issues and a few minor checks. The service manager called to tell me the VFC had failed completely and may have contributed to the excess popping - though I think there is more than that going on for various reasons. In any event, they said this was very unusual and couldn't recall one just failing completely. They contacted Lloydz shop and between them agreed to just swap it out for a new one while I pay the 1/2 hour labor to install it. I guess the only downside is that I lose my Dyno Tune settings done last season and go back to the base setting for my S1L1 setup with Lloydz Cams. No dyno tunes are scheduled near Baltimore anytime soon (Moto-Vation is full) so it will be interesting to see if I notice performance differences. Bottom line though is that Lloydz and the shop worked it out to my satisfaction on the swap and I wanted to say so.

Posts: 189 Baltimore, Md | Yep, all in it cost me $40 for the fix up and today I take my first extended ride to see if the Popcorn Machine is quieter. I just miss my dyno tune and Lloyd isn't doing one near me for a while. I doubt that I will notice a whole lot of difference, but I liked the way it was after the dyno. |
