| I have a 2011 Vision and I notice the trans bangs pretty hard when shifting. I was told by the dealer when its cold, rev the engine a little and then shift into gear to separate the clutch plates and then it should be quieter. It also does the same thing when its hot and in every gear. Does this sound like the clutch isnt disengaging all the way? Or is this just the way the 100,000 mile trans is? |

| Nature of the beast........ride it like you stole it!!!
The transmission on my '08 got a lot quieter after approx. 20K miles. The brand of oil makes a difference also. |

Posts: 160 Camas Washington | 2011 VV and having an issue shifting down to 1st. Even at a stop I think I'm in 1st but 2nd. You dont know this until you let out the clutch becuase of the dumbass who designed the digital read out for what gear your in does not report when the clutch is engaged. My 08 KP had some issue shifting but once I was over 2,500 miles and a couple of oil changes it imporved drastically. Assuming the same for VV. I just did my 1st oil change a 575 miles last night, maybe this might help a little. |

Posts: 160 Camas Washington | Rode the bike a few miles last night after the oil change. The shifting was much smoother and no issues shifting down to 1st. For only 574 miles the changed oil was fairly dirty and had a green type film on the top of the drain pan. Not sure what that was. |

| Straight cut gears, bangs in first and going into second. But does not cause any problems. Best to start it in first gear... MY Advise just ride it.
