Bonita Springs, FL | I have read most of the posts regarding install on the 550 using the 2820 harness. Can anyone tell me if the 550 will come through both the headset and external speakers as the 2820 did. Also, sounds like it will come on automatically when you turn the key on as the 2820 did, can anyone confirm that. I was very happy with the 2820, but all sounds including the beeps and voice quit working and Garmin determined it was not fixable as they have no inventory of parts. I discovered the holes on the 2820 mount block that came with the bike line up perfectly with the holes on the 550 mount that is meant to go on the handlebar. We just have to put some sort of spacer under the 2820 mount to raise it up about 1/2 inch and it will look and work perfectly. |
