Ok, so I pulled the cover off the scooter and discovered wasps!!!!

They were on the inside of the windscreen and on the under side of the travel cover.

Is there a way to prevent that??

I hate them critters.

I cover the bike at work. I made this discovery as I was preparing to leave work. the cover had been on about 6 hours.

This is the beginning of nesting season for them. You can probably spray repellant but I would not spray it directly on the inside of the cover for chemical reasons, but you can spray a cloth and lay it on a protected area on the bike inside the cover, I had a buddy saturate a sponge and kept it in a plastic ziplock heavy duty bag, when he covered the bike he put the bag on the tank and opened the end and let the "fumes" out. That worked well wasnt messy and no harm to the cover or the bike

Wasps are territorial, they will investigate anything within their boundaries. You may be parking near there nest. Can you park somewhere else? or find the nest.
Springtime they go after protiens. Did you leave that steak in your glovebox again?

I found this on the net along with a bunch of others. I laughed but then why not

Hang a crumpled brown paper bag. A natural wasp repellent to use is by preying on the fact that wasps are territorial so they will not make a nest where one already exists. To give the illusion of a wasp nest, crumple up a small brown grocery bag, attach a string, and hang near your doors. They cannot tell if it's truly a nest, but they seem to trust what they see. Their instincts will kick in and they will go away.

Put out sliced cucumbers. One of the more unusual wasp repellents is cucumber. This vegetable has an acid property that wasps don't like. Cut up a few slices and leave around your picnic or BBQ area. They stay away and you can enjoy your outdoor activities without fear of getting stung.

I found the brown paper bag in 4 different places
