Citrus Heights, CA United States | I know there has been posts about this before. I think I may have found a permenant fix for this problem. Last night my bike quit about 10 times on way home from work in rush hour traffic NOT GOOD Checked main circuit breaker the one under black cover in front of engine and behind oil cooler both nuts tight. However the brass stuld was loose up and down. The circuit breaker is plastic and held in place by 2 plastic rivits. Went to local Autozone and purchased a metal case 12v 40amp circuit breaker for $ 3.50 instead of $8.83 Vic wants and bolted it in place Problem solved Suggest you all check your breaker for any looseness of the studs as they may be loose because heat and vibration causes plastic to allow stud to dislodge internally. This was originally a recall to check nuts for tightness but not for the studs being loose internally.

Central Wisconsin | Good tip! Last year I installed a stebel air horn and noticed one of the nuts could have been tighter on the circuit breaker. 
Did you by the one with the metal tabs?

Citrus Heights, CA United States | Yes only difference mine had a brass and steel post but any 12v 40 amp parallel one will work. Check your by pulling up on posts to see if it is loose internally.l mine was loose if it was hot and vibration couses it to loos connection The one you pointed to is the bad one I had. | I guess you have it back together. But if you don't now would be a good time to put star washers on all cables. In the photo it looks like your nuts have the built in washers. Star washer can be bought at any hardware store for about 35 cents.
