2010 vegas can sit for over a week & battery is fine, but other times it will be dead after a couple of days (once even about an hour after riding about 1 mile) battery load tests fine after recharging & sitting for days. charging system over 14 volts & drain is only 5 ma. connections all seem tight. still under warrranty. anyone ever solve a problem like this?

What electrical have you done to the bike? It sounds like you have a pinched wire some place. Did you do something to the turn signals?
Look under the seat or the last place you did something.
If you park the bike and use the kill switch that will shut off all power to the ignition and the bike start when you want it to then the problem is there.
Other then that get a test light and start looking for something with power when the key is off. Its pretty hard to help you when we can't be there.
Rule of thumb when a problem a cures go back to the last place you were and check every thing.

bone stock, & like i said only 5 ma drian, my wife does use the kill switch though??????????????? but i think the dash lites stay on , i will check

If you leave the key on even with the kill switch turned off, the battery will likely drain.

yeah, but the lights are still on, so i don't think we are doing that ( one time maybe)
