Does any one have experiences with these? Do you think there any good?
With the price of every thing going up make me think this cool be a value. I was at there web site and they don't even list a Victory. I think thats pretty lame when others like Lloydz sells them along with other shops.

They're listed-Victory's use a model S1 + it's made in Colorado so you know it has to be good.

Those filters look really nice and probably work well. I looked at them, but when I divided $135 by the $4.61 I pay for WIX 51356 throwaway filters it comes out to 29 oil changes just to break even on the cost of the filter. It would take me at least 10 years of riding (150,000 miles) to break even. They do look nice though.

If your only looking at cost vs. cost that's a good point, BUT...........from a performance standpoint there's value. I've been looking into these filters lately and cost aside, if they are that much more efficient at flowing the oil with just as good of filtering that's worth a lot over cost vs cost. Keep in mind our engines are oil cooled and more oil flowing through the engine is deffinatally a good thing. Also the oil getting to the engine quicker when it's cold at first start up is a very good thing. Got to look at the big picture when looking at value.

Here's where I got mine: http://www.conquestcustoms.com/oilfilters.aspx
They used to give a 10% discount for vmc members, don't know if it's still good but if it is, you need to type thevmc.com during checkout.

Engine oil pumps are positive displacement pumps... Meaning they are going to pump the oil regardless. They have near linear pump curves so the faster the pump spins the more oil it moves and the relationship is nearly linear. With this is mind, a lower delta P across the filter isn't going to allow more oil to flow, but the pump, and thus the engine will not have to work as hard to move the oil. With a higher surface area in a filter, it also means the likely hood of using the bypass valve in the filter its self is also reduced, so you have a better of chance of filtering all the oil all the time.

Which is why I use the longer (and cheaper) WIX 51356 instead of the application specified (shorter and more expensive) WIX 51358 filter. They are the same filters, except the 51356 is longer and has more filtering area than the 51358. As a bonus, it's cheaper too, since they fit a lot more applications and the economy of scale makes them cheaper.

I always look at the big picture when comparing cost to value.

More filtering area + cheaper price = Win, Win.
