Posts: 8 Colorado Springs, CO | I was wondering how many people have no-kidding confirmed dates for their Vision?
My dealer only has one confirmed date, and unfortunately, it isn't for me. It's for the guy that ordered his bike during the pre-order period. I think he said it's scheduled for Sept 24.
I have to settle for a simple $100 deposit on the first Midnight Cherry Tour Premium that comes in. Of course, all he can tell me is October. I could be waiting 19 days, or 50 days. I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!!!
So, how many of you have confirmed dates and what is it?

| ColoradoVic,
I placed my order and cash in March, 2007. My deposit has been on the waiting list now for 6 months.
My tour was supposed to be here mid September, but is now pushed off to October sometime. I don't have much faith in that date at this time.

Posts: 129 Coastal , NJ | My ship date was originally 8/29 then got bumped to 9/12. It is now sitting at 9/19. My bike went to reserved status with Victory on 5/17. Victory originally promised these bikes in the fall , so it looks like they are on target. I do understand that this is a brand new model and that delays are inevitable when you are trying to ship something like the Vision. |

| Bummer, my ship date has been pushed back to the 19th or possibly later from the original ship date of the 12th due to an antenna issue, My bike was officially reserved on June 2.

The Poconos | Here we go again.......deep breath....gulp..gulp...ahhh...Victory Beer....Golden Monkey.
I have been told so many differant dates and now I think Sue told everyone to tell me she is out. Kidding...really.
I have resigned myself to "it gets here when it gets here". No more calls. I have no more expectations and my excitement for having this bike before it snows has subsided.
Hmmm....I wonder if they will fit it with snowmobile skis.
Now where is that bottle of Victory Old Horizontal.

Posts: 3204 Memphis | Dirtybubble has the perfect attitude. Our expectations for when we get the bike should be nil. Until the thing is purring between my legs, I will believe nothing. I feel sorry for you guys in the northeast who have a short riding season left. Too bad Victory couldn't have announced a winter release so that they would be arriving in time for the spring thaw. Even the dealers are getting jerked around with the dates. Expectations are the key to getting through this torture. Pace yourself. |

The Poconos | You sir/madam have obviously never met me or talked to anyone that I have worked with.
I just read your post to the 23 guys at work and it came up 22 -1 bad attitude and I didn't even vote for myself.
I have my days as can be proven by reading other forums on the delivery subject. It's just not worth the effort to be bitter about things out of my control.
Just funnin' with ya and tryin' to get up to "Bar Hopper" status.
Thanks for the compliment.

| I too appreciate Dirtbubble's attitude, but can't dismiss that lack of customer service and communication on Victory's part. An organization of their size, experience and resources should know that no communication is BAD communication. I get that their business model is set up so that their dealers are the frontline for all of our whinning, but they should arm them with some information to placate us. I have spoken to more than a dozen dealers around the country and found that the vast majority feel Victory does a very poor job of supporting them. Maybe this is why they have not been able to setup a good dealer network. Before everyone rushes to their defense please consider that my dealer has been trying to contact the DSM for over a week and has received no return phone calls. Out of frustration I called Victory/Polaris customer service no less than 8 times and left a message for a supervisor to call me. When I did get a return call I was told that they did not have access to delivery date information, and that I should contact my dealer. When I told them that my dealer is trying to get the information, but their Victory contacts haven't returned any of their calls. They replied "I'm sorry, but I don't know what to tell you". This is extremely disappointing given the great effort the rest of the organization has in creating such an exciting product. |

Posts: 21 D/FW Texas | I promise I'm not trying to pile on but a couple of weeks ago I was at the (only) Victory dealer in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. I was prepared to put a deposit down on a Street - sight unseen, with the understanding that I could get a refund if I was disappointed after taking the Arlington Vision Tour demo ride the following week. While there, I was told that not only do they not yet have an ETA for the first shipments, there is no Victory sales rep for D/FW area currently. Unbelievable. Possibly the biggest and most important product launch to date for Victory and there is no dealer or factory support for the North Texas market to speak of.
Based on the dealer situation - and my initial impressions from the test ride, I'm going to hold off on pulling the trigger until at least the first wave of bikes have been put on the road. |

Ummm - every manufacturer is set up like that. As far as I know, you can't call York,Pa direct to check on your HD delivery status. Also Victory is probably one of the smallest manufacturers with the LEAST experience and resources than most other brands. I got a ship date and it's been moved twice. As eager as I am , I am mindful that Victory is at the mercy of other vendors who supply parts for the Vision. If they promise(Victory) and a vendor doesn't come through on time....they look bad. As far as the DSM not returning calls for a week....I'm thinking it's BS. I'm just a Volunteer Ride Coordinator for the VRA and they call or email me back whenever i have a question. And the dealers are the ones that feed these guys...they call back. I believe that customer service would have no info as I think the people in Spirit Lake are the ones truly in the know.
One other thing , I custom ordered two Victory's through the Custom Order Program and both came within a week of the promised ship date which I got about 2 months out. When they launched the Vision in Jan....they promised Fall of 2007. Well that gives them a little bit of time before they are liars. |

While a customer may not be able to check the status of a Harley, the dealers can. The MoCo's "HDNET" (or whatever they call it) allows a dealer to check the order, build and shipping status of any bike - including the ability to make changes to the bike up until about 30 days before it's scheduled to go into production. |

Posts: 904 29 Palms California | I have order numbers and the like from my dealer. My dealer is doing the best he can, and as previously stated, I will be a happy owner when my bike is under my butt. The one thing I'm use to is, hurry up and wait. I do like a good plan, and my plan is to wait. What else can you do? Since my 2003 H-D E-Glide is my main mode of transportation, I'm glad I didn't sell it when I placed my order...This site sure did help my nerves. I thought maybe I chucked $1,000 down range prior to this site. Now, I know, I'm not the only one throwing money at the target and getting a miss. |
