Posts: 193 Buford, GA United States | While I can't make it this year, I recommend that you go have lunch one day at J B's Fish Camp located at New Smyrna Beach on the South side of the island. It is on the right hand or inland side almost at the end of the road and they have the best blackened grouper sandwich ever!!! |

Posts: 206 Lumber Bridge, NC United States | Ok just got back from daytona on tues evening, left last friday morning the ride down was nice. great to see all the palm trees and the weather getting warmer as we rode. As for the rumor of the Georgia state police stopping bikes as you cross the line into florida they must have been invisible cause there were none. we did see alot of the other brands of bike on trailers but to our surprise no visions. we did however have to ride the last 85 miles in the pouring rain to the hotel. If anyone wants to go to a real nice hotel there we stayed at the best western in edgewater right on rte 1 it's about 20 minutes from main street daytona and very clean an no biker noise so you get a nice nights sleep. they are very biker friendly let you park under the front door awning and give you clean rags to wipe your bike down from the morning dew. this was our first time to bikeweek holy crap this is a bikers meca got some good pics and the famous loop is a great ride. the ride home was just as nice we did have to ride through the smoke from the forrest fires down there both ways but it goes away. got to see alot of nice looking machines but we only seen approx. 10 to 12 visions. met alot of nice folks there and had a great time but now we are back to the ole grind.
