Well we don't know what kind of bike you have or where you live. Go to your profile and add them it will make every thing easier the next time.
I'll guess your in Ca. and yes guys disconnect them. You shouldn't have any problem unless you get caught by the cops. You bike should run just fine if you don't tell it what you did. |

Posts: 238 SF Bay Area | My understanding is that the "cat" has a similar flow restriction as the 49 state honeycomb diffuser, and is designed to boost the mid range torque, while not costing much HP. I was told the Vision cat only costs .7hp (at peak), and helps to reduce the sound of the bike to acceptable levels, even with open pipes like the Ness Honkers. There is much debate about the relationship between noise and HP, my feeling is if you only run at full throttle, like at the drag strip, tune your bike for open pipes... otherwise, be somewhat civil and have a fast, but quieter bike. My favorite is blowing off a loud Hardley, and hearing his open pipes fade away behind me as he downshifts in futility... while listening to my music. I run the Atom Bombs, with the cat in place. |

| It makes me think that if Victory programed the ECU to have the catalytic converters in the bike and you tuck it out I don't think it would run very good.
Besides there a bitch to get out of the pipe. |

In the end we created lollipop baffles to put in there place... So the lesson learn is not to bother with them. |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | My mistake, I have a 49 state model so that must be a diffuser I was looking at. So what about removing that? Any difference....... |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Dave if things work out as planned I will dyno the Vision at Wyotec down in Daytona next week and then have the cams installed by Lloyd and take it back over there to see the actual difference. Right now I have the PC V with auto tune, CFR pipes and a Lloyds intake plate. |
