As a safety matter I would like to see brake lights on the trunk. It would be nice to have the ones that flash a couple of times before coming on steady. Victory should have done this, at least as a option. As a group can we send E-mails or phone somebody and show our interest to get this done ?? The sooner the better. Does anybody agree ?

Tom - I thought the same thing so I made a couple of simple mods to my Vision. I replaced the brake light bulbs with the Kisan bulbs to get that automatic flash for the brake. In the trunk I replaced the existing socket with a socket that holds a 7443 bulb. The one I found at a local auto store is not an exact fit so I simply 'glued' it in with some silicon - if I ever have to replace the bulb a knife or razor blade to cut the silicon will do the trick... I spliced a quick connect into the harness near the existing connect for the trunk running light for the brake and turn. By using a dual intensity LED for the 7443 socket it doesn't change the load on the turn signal circut so no issues there.... All works just fine and with the quick connect I can take the trunk off as before. The hardest part of the entire project was getting the wire through the existing flexible conduit....

"Victory should have done this,..." Then people would say, "What do you mean, $30,000 for that bike? Are you crazy?" Also because one or 2 people think something is a good idea does not mean it's a safety requirement or that enough people would buy it to justify it.
Givi did have lights in their trunks till years after I bought mine.

I agree it would be a nice option but maybe if you email a vendor? Or make something yourself like VisionBoy. I would rather have a kickstand neutral safety switch then trunk lights.

It's hard to say why the motorcycle industry won't set that as a standard for modulating lights. Could it be that some states may be illegal? But I think it would a great addition, at least to activate when desired, because people are not paying attention. I flash my brakes many times when in traffic to grab the attention of those to my rear, it would be great it if it did it on its own.

The Kisan website has the laws from all US states for modulating headlights and taillights. From what I can tell both are legal in all 50 states. I have never installed a modulating headlight - I can see where they would be much more noticable - but they always kinda bothered me. The taillight on the otherhand makes a lot of sense......

Headlight modulators are legal in all 50 states, by a federal mandate that may not be overidden by state laws. They may irritate some people; it's good to be polite and considerate, on the other hand, what's your life worth?
