Am getting about 33mpg since cams were installed, riding very conservatively. Have played with the fuel controller to no avail. I am red/green colorblind so I had my wife assist in identifying the green versus the yellow led's. She could not tell either. In anybody's experience, is there any type of sequence when changing modes, or is it "random". I am trying to set it back to KevinX settings for cams, top air intake, aftermarket exhaust, no factory mapping. It is a 2008. Thanks

Visions with the close loop fuel program get poor fuel milage whenever the temp. drops below about 50 degrees. If you check through the post there is a thread that, I believe has already addressed your problem.

I rode my bike before changed out the oil for winter. 10 miles and outside temp mid 50's. and the oil coming out was barely warm at all. These bikes will never get good milage at colder temps.

My bike, also an 08, gets around 33 MPG in town. When I get out of all the stop/go traffic my MPG goes up to low 40s.

Thank you all for your posts...this site is great...I never would have thought temperature would have anything to do with it...but the drop in temp correlates exactly to my drop in mileage...one more reason for me to move back to Arizona...

I check the milage every time I fill up . Since andding the VFC and also having the VIP ( NO CAMS) I will get 37 to 40 solo, and up to 42 with my better half. I wish I could say I have noticed any temp related milage decrease. I do know that the computer does not read accurate mileage with the VFC in place, I always do the math.

I have a 2008 and my mileage varies from about 36 to 44 mpg. As has already been said, my mileage is considerably better in warm weather than cold (mid to high 30's in the cold, and from the low to mid 40's in the heat. In almost 3 years of riding my lowest mileage was 34, and my highest just north of 50 mpg. And that is riding 2 up, and doing the mileage calculations myself because the mileage computer on the Vision is junk.
