Midlothian, Va. | Just got it last week and went on a ride Sat with a few friends. I was a lot warmer on the Vision than they were (32 degrees). Just learning how to video and then get it processed. Other than raising the camera a bit all comment are welcome even the critical ones. View it in 720p HD and also full screen looks good. Sit back and let me and Zac Brown take you for a ride. Quad Cities, IL | This is very cool...great video quality. Does the GoPro also act as a still photo digital cam? It would be cool if it acted as a multi-functional tool, one less thing to have on the go. Can that thing be mounted to the dash...Seems like that would be a pretty cool vantage point.

It comes with flat and curved mounts plus a suction mount that can go on the fairing.

Add it to my list of "wants". Has a 5 mp still camera that can be set to take shots every 3,5,10 sec plus other times as you scoot down the road. I have not tried the camera but will do so tomorrow. Also can be mounted to the trunk with the suction mount and take where you been or the riders behind you. I was shooting in 780p but it does 1080p as well. The original on the monitor or the big LCD of mine is big time quality.

Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Good stuff. I got my GoPro for Xmas - haven't been out with it yet. But I did try the 'picture every x seconds' mode on a fixed tri-pod for 2 hours - WOW - very kewl TIME LAPSE movies can be made.
Couple of comments: 1. Head movements create a kind of 'wallowing' effect - not sure I like that.
2. I think the waterproof housing causes everything in the distance to be 'curved' - not sure I like that.
But thanks for the 'preview' - I will try some different mounts on our beautiful BC highways and post them for comment. LOVE MY TOYS !

Davenport, IA | Biscuit, first of all, great video! I do a little video editing myself sometimes but am not using the Go Pro. With the Go Pro, can you start and stop recording easily while riding? I have seen illustrations on the web, but seems like if you want to start and stop recording while riding, it may be difficult. Am I seeing this in a wrong way? |

| Don, I have the same camera and the housing is not what causes lines in the distance to appear curved, it is the fact that the HeroHD camera has a 170 degree lens. It is the same kind of effect to some extent that you get using a fish eye lens on a still camera.
I just ordered the LCD back and an extra battery for my Hero, the LCD back makes the camera much more functional and much easier setting it up in a hard mount on a bike or other vehicle. I just used one of the extra mounts to mount mine on the dash of my truck so that I could do a drive and record the results of this years blizzard which just dumped nearly 3 feet of snow (officially much less but that is how much I have in my yard!), I drove to my shop today and found that the snowed was piled 10 to 15 feet high long the road I use in my 11 mile drive to the shop. |

Davenport, IA | Biscuit, the video editing software I use is Corel Ulead Video Studio 11 Plus. I have had this for about 3 or 4 years and use a Sony video camera. One of these days I'll be looking for some new software for video editing and a new camera. I am interested in the GoPro camera. It really looks like it has good stabilization without much shake. Keep me posted after you use the camera for awhile if it is the real deal. I am looking for ease of operation of the camera while riding without too much distraction. |

My only grip with this camera is not being able to get the best view like in my vid the angle needed to be a bit higher. I knew the back was coming out but I wanted to wait for a few reviews before I bought it. This will be a lot better after things green up to have a little color on these videos.

That drove me nuts ! I have mine mounted to the front of the windshield because I have a tinted windshield. I pulled off the cover in front and cushioned everything and couldn't get rid of it.
Finally I used a small piece of dense foam and put it over the mic on the side of the camera and used the skeleton housing - the clicking is gone. You can still hear the engine though. I don't know if it is the housing or the foam. I'll have to try each separate to find out. If yours is mounted behind the windshield I don't think it is the bike - I think it is the camera rubbing in the case.
I just ordered the LCD backpac from this place for $50 !

That includes everything. I'll have to wait for a bit but that's OK with me. It's not like I'm using it everyday. Although I have gotten used to the fact that you can use it all the time and just delete what you don't like and film again.
