| Okay, I am sure this has been asked but........... this past warm Southern weekend we put on about 225 miles on Saturday .................any way while taking a smoke/rest room break I noticed that the exhaust pipes had soot on them and it got me thinking.....since bikes are delivered RICH from the factory if I run a LLoyds intake plate and a K&N air filter, DO I really need to reflash the fuel map ? or add a feul controller? |

Posts: 164 Quad Cities, IL | My 2008 has run rich ever since I picked 'er up...even since my Lloydz mods including a fuel controller. Still runs rich. I have brought it up to the lads at the dealer but it seems to be what it is...they haven't come up with a fix yet and feel it is more common to the 2008 than the newer models. So I have just come to accept that every so often I need to take a rag to the gatlin tips. She runs great though, so I don't sweat it too much. |

| Why don't you ride and check your mileage. I think 40 to 45 is average
Check your plugs if there black then you might be rich. If you put in new plugs it takes about a hundred miles before they will tell you any thing. |
