Posts: 1117 Northeast Ohio | For the regular headlight (currently two halogens), you would need to convert to HID on both of those. You could try a Sylvania SilverStar bulb as a cheaper option (if they make one in our size).
I thought I remember reading here that someone did this... Maybe it was converting to LED... Sorry I can't remember.

Posts: 742 North Orange County CA | HID conversions are ILLEGAL for street use. Most of the websites that sell them have disclaimers that say "off road use only" etc.
The HID lamps and halogen reflectors are not matched for focal length and cause real problems for oncoming traffic. If you want to avoid pissing off the local gendarme and hate the idea of paying the tickets he will surely give you, my suggestion is to spend the money on the VIC unit.
You'll probably pay over 100 bucks for a conversion kit, your first ticket will come close to paying the difference you would have spent for a vic kit.
