Posts: 97 Brighton, Colorado | When I was in Morrison on Saturday, I wound up talking to a guy who worked for a Victory shop in Colorado Springs. He said Victory is coming out (if not out already) with a 111 Cubic Inch "kit" to put into the Vision. He also talked about a 116 Cubic Inch kit. Has anybody heard of this? Just trying to get a little "informed". Or is it just B.S.

Surely Lloyd is working on something, though...

Posts: 97 Brighton, Colorado | Don't feel bad "Mudge." I've had my Vision 8 days and already it's out of date.......well not THAT much! Should be interesting to see where this actually goes. Hope it doesn't require a new rear end, tires transmisiosn. Doesn't matter though. I'll probably do THAT too! Crap! |

Posts: 297 VA | I had to promise the wife that I wasn't going to go wild on this bike, so I don't think that I'll be doing any serious mods to this bike. I am certainly curious as how much extra pep it'll give the Vision. I've always been a little hesitant to do big bore kits though. I know engines are stronger than they ever have been, but it seems like thinning out the walls of the cylinder might weaken the integrity of the engine. I always equated, probably incorrectly mind you, that the reason my friends crotch rockets always seemed to break down was that they were designed with racers in mind, and performance was more important than longevity. So they squeeze every ounce of HP they can out of each engine. I just imagine than when you push the design limitations that far that weker parts would fail. I guess I have accpeted my geezer glider status and am happy to go slower and look pretty. I'm only 30, but does that mean I'm old? |

There of course is a minimum wall thickness, I'm sure they built plenty of room to not interfere with the integrity of the bike. As you know very common to over-bore. As for your friends crotch rockets if they are using them as racers or not, I'm sure there is a higher maintenance schedule they should be following to replace worn components, most don't that I know.
I know I go slower than most, I just like the cash in my pocket from not having to pay tickets and higher insurance. As for being pretty, not to many people have called me that. I like to think I'm MANLY and OUtSTANDINgLY Handsome and Debonaire. |

Tim - Just talk, no modified Vision. Someone also indicated Lloyds was looking at a "stroker" kit. I would guess someone will have something before very long, there seemed to be quite a bit of interest in even more power.

Actually I didn't know they were posted till now - They look fine! It does look like a lot of work, so thanks for your efforts. I will let you be the judge on the final satisfaction - Its hard not seeing one in person the pics sometimes don't show it as well the real thing - Anyway I'm in - order placed- should I send a check? |

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | Very Large sums of money or blank check is fine either way. I have a small bank account in the Cayman Islands for you to wire to. I plan on doing one or two more to see how the font goes and hopefully clean up the feathers a little. The design part and then the stitching is the extremely tough part of it. Once I can get the basic design to where I am or you are happy, then it is a minor change for everything else. I just have to nail down the font and feathers and should be able to start shipping or taking orders. Maybe I take orders first then ship or vice versa. |

Posts: 80 Richmond, Texas | I think the Vision has plenty of power, but I for one would deffinitely be intrested in a 116 ci or Stroker mod. The main question remains -- Are there going to be some different pipe choices and HOW MUCH WOULD THAT COST?

| DesertJim, I do not believe they can add a "stoker" kit because Victory already stoked the engine to get it to 106 cu. in. from 100 cu. in.

Could very well be Tim - This was all in loose conversation - anyway, I'm a candidate for something. Like you I don't really need the power, but, the kid in me is still there- |
