| Hey All I have researched online and on this forum regarding what people have been commenting on trailer hitches for both Hitch Doc and the Bushtec Hitch.... I am wondering if there are any more recent thoughts and opinions out there? Place a vote.... The "Poll" never lies.... LOL Has anyone installed the Hitch Doc without removing the rear tire? Tow capacities? Where have people bought their Hitches online? Is a swivel a good thing? Thanks All

| I have installed my Hitchdoc without removing the rear wheel and my trailer is fitted with a swivel because I have dropped my Vision before so I expect it may happen again and the swivel will prevent damage. |

Posts: 88 Billings, MT | I looked at both hitches. Bushtech's hitch seem to be built a little stronger. The Hitchdoc hitch seems okay but I didn't like the mount point system at all! I opted to spend about 25 hours and custom build my hitch receiver. It has a six point mount system, and is made of 1/4" plate steel. I am most impressed with the Vision's ability to tow a trail! |

| Hi all, I'm wondering what trailer wiring harness most of you are using for a 2011 Victory Vision? Thanks |

Posts: 174 Edmonton, AB | I installed the Hitch Doc this spring on my 2008 VV. Yes, I did take off the rear wheel...but I'm a stickler for following directions and that just gave me an excuse to try taking the wheel off so I would be better prepared to do it when the need arises.
I purchased a no-name automotive style 5 to 4 wiring converter at a local Auto Parts store Tucked it away behind the tail lights after making the connections. |

Install went very easy - no issues.
I pull several trailers, none with a swivel - havent found it necessary.
Im using a 5 to 4 converter from NAPA....cost $14 or so. I wire all my trailers 4 wire.....if they are 5 wire I convert them. I like them to be common so I can pull them with my truck or my bike. |

| I guess I should have been more specific with my question. Our new bike is the 2011 Vision, what wiring harnessdo you suggest and who is the manufacturer of it. does it need to be isolated and is there a place on the bike to plug it into directly or do you have to splice into it? Out trailer is a 4 wire. |

Posts: 395 Moravia, IA | There is no direct plug in wiring harness. There is no specific harness for this bike at all. Some run idolaters, some don't. I don't.....the 5 to 4 converter offers some protection and I'm good with that. Any 5 to 4 adapter will work....most use the Hoppy or NAPA. |

| I use the harness that came with my Bushtec which also had a 4/5 convertor option included. At first I had a buddies trailer that had a 4 wire set-up until I could find a used Bushtec trailer. Now that I have a Bushtec trailer I have switched over to a 5 wire set-up I love the pin hitch design especially for the Vision no binding if you get agressive on the curves. |

Posts: 222 Barefoot Bay, FL United States | 3066 miles through MA, CT, NC, TN, VA,WV, PA, NY, VT, back to Maine with "Hitch Doc", pulling a 4' "Americas Best" aluminum trailer. No problems at all except for the tire quality of the trailer. 95% of trailer tire tread GONE after only 3066 miles?!?!? Will be sending Americas Best a little note soon!! witchbiker '08 Mid Cherry..hit 37k during trip...rear Dunlop cupping very badly. So bad, I'm concerned about being able to drive it safely to the dealer for a new tire. BTW....Chrome IS a color!! |

| I recently went to the June Boogie in Cookeville TN. Over The hill and thru the field up & down, and the hitch Doc took it without a problem. This is a very solid hitch. Going up the hills you couldn't slow down or you wouldn't make it up the hill, bounching up & down . Hitch Doctor took it with out a problem, the bike took it with out a problem, was very supprised, pulling BUNK hOUSE, which is not a lite trailer . This was ROUGH. Don't think you can go wrong with a Hitch Doctor. |
