OK, silly question time....does the cruise control only work in 6th gear? I test rode a Vision several weeks ago. the cruise worked great at 70 mph or greater, but I didn't try it at 45 or 50mph. I would think it would lug the motor at 45mph in 6th gear.

Mine works in any gear starting at about 25 mph.  I was surprised that it would engage at such a slow speed.

I've used it at 45mph, can't remember if I've used it at 30-35.

Section 19.19 states that the cruise can be activated between 25-95 mph in any gear. Everyone one should have one of the service manuals.

I see another recall, cruise control works above the stated 95mph. I'll have to check mine to see if I need to take it to the dealer.

This the first bike with I have owned with Cruise control. I have tried but not real comfortable using it... Yet. It just feels unsafe to me. I drive an tractor trailer across the country every week and don't use the cruise in it either. I tried a throttle lock once on my other vics and hated it.

With "Old Age" creeping into my hands, the CC is great.

I had a throttle lock on my last bike but only used it for short periods to give my hand a rest or if needed do something. I suspect I will use the Cruise control much the same way and only on straight roads or freeways. I can't imagine anyone trying to use it in the twisties!
