Hello,

I just got off the phone with a very helpful lady at Lloydzs. I was going to order the VM1 cams & carrier kit for my 09 Vision when she informed me that in late Feb or Mar Lloydz will have available VM1 cams for 09 and 10 Visions that do not require the cam carrier kit. Needless to say I placed my order then and there for a set.

She also informed me this information will be on their homepage as soon as they put together a write-up for them.

regards,

Is it safe to assume they are the same grind (lift and duration) of the original VM1 cams?

Been lots of delays so far with the next gen cams. They are almost a year late thus far. Not Lloydz fault. Small runs are hard to get through the major players. Most of them want thousands of blanks to cast before they will even talk to you

I was told by the shop that did my engine work that Lloyd sent him a "new" cam he has been working on. I don't know if it is new but the bike is a rocket! I just wish there wasn't so much ice on the roads. I want to open it up! I also need to get it to Lloyd to dyno tune it!

I was wondering how they're going to grind a cam with the same lift as Lloydz current one. To make it fit through the carrier the nose of the lobe can't be any taller than stock so that means they have to reduce the heel. I assume the hydraulic lifter has enough stroke in it to compensate? Since this is no small block Chevy with adjustable rockers and again, assuming the lifter can compensate, I wonder what kind of unintended consequences can occur running the lifter like that over time. Probably nothing but I opted to run the '08 setup with the two piece carrier only because it has been tried and proven over so many installations without any problems. It certainly costs more and it is more work to swap carriers but I don't want to be doing this again down the road if something doesn't work out. Besides, I don't have enough patience to wait for the new one

Thank you for the explanation...I was unaware of the delays in development.
