Just had to tell everyone that the wife and I rode Liandra to a party. Last ride of 2010 and first of 2011 was 72 degrees going 56 degrees coming home. No adult drinks just had food, fireworks and a lot of good fellowship. Hope everyone is having a Great New Year.

I got my last ride of 2010 and the first of 2011 around midnight as well. I attended a New Years Eve wedding where the nuptial took place at the stroke of midnight. Hope to go and put a few miles on today as well. Happy 2011 to one and all!

A little to cold and snow covered roads here in North Dakota. Only -3 degrees and 3 feet of snow. You lucky people. Only have another 3 to 4 months to wait for my first ride of 2011!!

I got mine in today. 17 degrees with 25 mph winds. Love the heated seats and tall windshield. Road about 67 miles.

It's 25 degrees right now (3:45PM) and the local roads are still about 50% ice covered, highways are cleared but I can't get out past my own driveway!!! I'll do a cage recon tomorrow (gotta check the unplowed parking lot at work) and see if maybe Monday might be the first ride of 2011. So as you can see not all of AZ is desert!!

Got my first ride in yesterday, about 80 miles. Was 60F when I left the house, so wore the jacket over a golf shirt and light weight gloves, but temp dropped to under 50 as the sun set, turned on the heated seat and grips and enjoyed the ride home. Was a little windy, but better than staying in doors.

27 on the Richter Scale to go down and watch the kids jump off the Olalla Bridge Saturday. Gerbing "Extreme Weather" coat and gloves augmented the heated seat and grips to make it an amazing brilliantly sunny success. Mt. Rainier to the East and the Olympic Mountains to the West and Puget Sound as blue as any t-shirt I've ever owned makes me briefly wonder why I spend so much of the rest of the time whining about the weather...

PacNorthwest has been incredibly beautiful since Christmas - going riding again today - any temperature above freezing is riding weather here...

Took mine out for a 50+ mile ride along the Rock and Mississippi Rivers on Sunday to get my first ride of 2011 under the belt! Loved every cold minute of it. It was 25F here in the Quad Cities, IL even though the on-board temp was reading -9 (lol). I still don't have heated gear but layering and my riding gear does a nice job keeping me warm. No snow in the forecast for a few days, I should get some commutes to work in this week too. Stay warm and Ride Safe...
