Subject: Access to fairing speakers

I have the bezel off from around the gages and the front windshield skirt from there I'm not sure how to get at the speaker compartment. Anyone have advice, I'm adding speakers and amplifier to an 8Ball.

You have to pull the mirrors, which has the screws under the front access cover. If you don't have the Service Manual, you may want to download it.

Each mirror has 2 bolts holding them in place (6mm allen & 10mm socket), after they are off, you will see two 4mm allen bolts (+ the third behind gauge bezel) to remove speaker grill.

Stuff rags down in the mirror cavities to catch the bolts, just in case.  Ask me how I know...

maybe this will help when you put the mirror back in make sure you get the square tab in its slot.
