Something to keep an eye out for, 2 years back the wire to the throttle side apparently had slid down the handlebar putting enough tension where it attaches to the grip that it eventually pulled loose and losing heat to the grip, I've repaired the grip twice and decided to stop being a stingy bastard.........
Found a vendor on ebay with factory Vision heated grips for the buy it now price of $67.99 plus shipping which beats out the factory $199 price tag. Got mine today, I don't know how many he has available but here's where they can be found: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-Victory-Vision-Heated-Hand-Grip-...

He also has a select few other Victory items.

Cool. Thanks! I've got Ness grips on now, but miss the comfort of heated grips when it gets cold.

I put a set of these on.  It allows you to use custom grips and still have grip heaters.  Get a replacement grip heater switch from your dealer and wire it to these.  Looks stock but works with custom grips.  I've been using these for two years now with no problems.

I would go with the ones that are made for the Vision if possible, but I have/do use these Warm Wraps which are similar to the above grip warmers.
http://www.aerostich.com/aerostich-warm-wrap-grips.html

I have been using them for years and as soon as fall happens, I keep them in my saddle bag if there's a chance of it getting chilly at night.

I also highly recommend the thermostat. http://www.aerostich.com/aerostich-heated-handgrip-thermostat.html

And finally, what I really find the best, are Wider heated grips, and I use them with the thermostat. It truly is amazing how much warmer the rest of your body feels when your hands are warm.

As an alternative may I suggest heated socks ........or a BMW twin.

Or heated insoles. They work great, and are very easy to hook up if you already have heated pants, since they plug right into the pants. $50 to $60. They don't bunch up like socks and the heat is more even. We used ours today on our New Years Day ride. We rode 177 miles in temperatures ranging from 19 degrees to a high of 31 degrees. Both my wife and myself were warm and comfy in our Warm-N-Safe jacket and pants liners and Gerbings gloves and insoles. She also had her seat heater on. The Vision handled all the heated gear just fine. The voltmeter never dropped below 12V at idle and stayed at 14V going down the road.

I have a pair of battery powered sock liners from Brookstone. I also have the glove liners, but don't need them now with the heated grips. My wife wears them when she rides in the cold. Both work great.
