Mythbusters uses Go-Pro Heros.  That's a pretty good endorsement.

I'm considering the Drift 170HD. It comes with a helmet mount. It would a no brainer if it had image stabilization but it doesn't.

Been looking into this as well, if it it bike only use, I do like the Go Pro, but the VIO POV HD looks very nice to cover a wide range of uses.

Love my go-pro. It has many other uses as well and the wife won't even know it is turned on

+1 on the GoPro Hero HD, here is a test video to check camera location on the dash behind the windshield, the loud tapping noise you hear is the windshield tapping on the camera housing.

Co-Pilot got me the "GoPro HD Hero 960" for Christmas which will record at 720p. But I see there is another - the GoPro Motorsports Hero - Costs more - but has 1080p resolution.

Question/thoughts: Should I return the Hero 960 for the Motorsports Hero? I make BluRay Videos for my Big Screen viewing - and normally record at 1080p or better with my other cameras. Or should I just give the wife a big (....fill in the blank....) and thank her?

If you are going to be doing Bluray videos I would definitely exchange the 960 for the Motorsports Hero then. I have what you are calling the Motorsports Hero HD, I believe the different names are simply because of the different mounting systems that come with different cameras, the Motorsport Hero HD comes with many different mounts so you can put it in any position you want. I recorded the test video in 720 simply because I was testing how much memory a 15 minute video would use up at that resolution, I have since recorded over 5 hours of 720p video on a 16GB card while using a power adapter so I didn't have to worry about battery life, I haven't gotten around to doing a test video at the full 1080p.<br />
