| I would guess a lot of people may think we (Jeff and I) have the merchandise at http://www.vision-riders.com/merch.asp to just help support these sites. Well that's only PART of the story. The merchandise was just the first and easiest part of a bigger plan to offer accessories, apparel, and other items of interest to the Vision owners community. Our products have to meet a quality criteria and be affordable.
Our T-shirts as example are of high quality brand/fabric and are printed right here in Mount Vernon Washington. Yes, not just printed in the USA, but right downtown. They are not "mass produced" either. They are done by HAND OPERATED Silk Screen machines !!!! Because we don't have to pay shipping, you get a shirt for a significantly lower price than would normally be paid for this quality.
This post may seem a little self-serving, and I guess it is.. but I just thought some may be interested to know that to us, it's a little more than just "selling swag." With this crappy economy (by the way I just got layed off from my day job), I'm darn proud to go down to the printer and know that in some small way I'm helping out someone who lives in my town.
Actually all of our products have a "story" behind them. Some more interesting than others I'm sure, but with the Holiday season upon us, we thought it would be fun to share some of the "behind the scenes" stuff that goes on... I started with T-Shirts..
Thanks for reading... and for those that purchase items from the Victory Riders Network, thanks for the support.
We wish everyone a great Holiday Season and Ride Safe.
