Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | Traded in my 2003 FJR and got a Vision on Saturday. Leftover '09. I'm DEFINITELY happy and excited! I ride every day, rain or shine, no matter what the temperature. I commute on it and try to ride whenever I can on the weekends, but only if the wife comes with me. And thank goodness she is almost ALWAYS up for a saturday trip! I figured I'm sick and tired of not having heated gear and comfort features like a radio, extra power to run heated vests, and I realized that I wasn't SPORT-touring, I was riding that bike and just TOURING. So I knew it was time to upgrade.
And a 26.5" seatheight for my 5'4" frame is GREAT! Not to mention I've had it three days and today already had a car just STOP on a side road to smile and watch me pass cause this bike looks so damned different! I hated the look of the bike when it first came out, but it has definitely grown on me. And the wife LOVES the passenger seat. She said she feels very secure in it and loves the heated seat and wind protection.
Well, just wanted to say a quick hello before I start posting my many questions and bad ideas. Thanks guys! Glad to be part of an elite club.

Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | ood so far! Put in the powerlets by myself (REALLY easy, the plugs are RIGHT THERE and there are very clear instructions), practiced taking off the topbox, and riding the hell out of it.
BTW, At first I thought you guys were lying about it getting attention, till I was paying for my breakfast the other day and my wife says, "Lookthrough the window! There's people by your bike!" Sure enough, a family was taking turns posing and taking pictures next to it! lol.

From another 2009 Blue Ice leftover... Welcome from FL. Where are you from? What color did you purchase? and what do you want to add to her?2009 black VV Tour Premium. I'm in GA right now, but I'm in the military so who KNOWS where I'll be in a few years! And right now I'm keeping it simple. I think, if I have my way, my final bike will have the powerlets, some sort of intercom/cb type setup (but there's no way I'm paying 600+ bucks for the Victory unit!), all LED lights with the exception of the front two halogen, some brakelight modulators, maybe a license plate laydown, some wind deflectors and a hitch. I think that'll be all I need for many years to come.
