Is anybody using an aftermarket windshield on his/her V V?  If so, what are you using and how do you like it?

I have a JuRock. It was hard to get it ordered (website would not work and I had to call them) but when I did I had it in 3 days. Great quality, no distortion...I 'm happy with it. 17.5 " (stock height) but they will make what ever you want.

How is the clarity of the Cee Baylies compared to the OEM?  I noted some distortion toward the top of the screen.  As far as the 7Jurock, it says the it is 3" wider, offering more wind protection.

John,

I got the clear and it does not have the Victory on it. I did have that graphic made up though. One thing that I have found out though...aftermarket windshields do not have the black around the mount holes. I had this made up also but am not real happy with it.

Anyone else do something different with this or am I to anal?

20% on combo, not just the windsheild at Cee Baileys. Well worth the money if you mostly ride with a passenger. Keeps the wind off of them better than the Vic tall one. I have the highest one. Does cut top speed some though. Loose a few MPG also. BUT, a happy wife is a happy life!

If you use CODE: CEEBAILEYSCHRISTMAS you will receive the 20% off without having to order the combo.  When you say. "highest one" do you have the 22"?

Have the Jurock, clear, tall and love it!!

No distortion and works for me either raised or lowered,

difference being how much air the better half wants.

YES, 22" and no distoration.  They have a very hard one, as I have few scraches, but I take realy good care of it.  Any body wanna buy a Victory tall, or standard slightly used?

It just kills me on the price these guys charge. Don't give me that B/S its the mold and man power. Come on $180 isn't that a bit over price and $22 bucks for shipping. That Klock guy that make the windshield for the HD's that every one is buying only coast $155.
They must charge so much cause they don't sell many but then at $200 buck why would they sell any.

How much difference do you notice between standard height and tall? I am 6'4" on a VNess. The shield that came on it (14"), when extended, left the wind hitting my head about 2" from the top. I got the 16" shield and it still hits me at the same spot. I like riding with the shield retracted on hot days to get some air flow and I'm worried that if I go tall enough to lose the air hitting my helmet, I will lose the air flow when retracted. I didn't get 2" more protection by adding 2" of shield and I'm wondering if it's the same with the taller shields.

GAColson: can you post some pics of the light grey tint.  Is it really dark? Can you see thru it in low light conditions?

Thanks

One thing I will say about Cee Baileys is that no one has ever posted anything bad about them. Everything I have read about them here is that they are really a great place when it comes to customer service and that the windshields are optically clear.

They were the first third party to offer a windshield for the Vision.

Since buying the Vision I understand that vendors are not going to flock to a bike that there are less then 12,000 (a guess on my part of 2008 to 2011 production) copies of bike on the road.

With that short of a production run I am surprised that anyone would make them.

I could try but it is so light, it almost indistinguishable. The representation on cee baileys site is even darker than I think mine appears. It is very subtle on the SSG.

My 08 stock windshield cracked around all the bolt holes within the first month of ownership. So I asked the dealer to order in the Victory Tall ws to replace it. They did so and even though I had said I'd pay the difference, they didn't charge me. Long story short my wife unit much preferred the lack off buffering with the tall ws raised. She got bounced all over with the stock ws no matter where it was set. Personally I like the stock height and never had any distortion or reflection issues others have reported. The TALL ws was real good as well and I had no problems with glare at night looking through it.

Using the 7Jurock also. Distortion free, but would also like to see the mounting area blacked out as on the OEM.

wseemann consider cutting down one of them to make a blade - it's easy to do and is a real pleasure on those hot days.

I have the Cee Baileys dark 16" one on my 08.

?

?

Do you ride at night? If so, does it make hard to see through when you are driving at night and through the windshield. It looks awesome! Plus I have same color bike, but probably would go with the 18"?
Thanks for posting a picture!

Just throwing this out - assume you have all seen the video of acrylic (most aftermarket) versus polycarbonate - also called Lexan - (almost all stock shields). For a good reason.
