Posts: 244 Tucson , AZ | The Vision is by far one of the best bikes i have ever owned or riden for that matter. Its hard to add to perfection in my eyes.
I have had alot of people tell me they do not like the trunk. I guess most are use to their old Harleys with the easy removable trunk. Would people be interested in a square removeable trunk??
Also i have had alot ask why not make a single rider seat?? Is this something that alot are demanding ?? and why?
I would like to hear your thoughts on what it is you would want to change. Please be reasonable.
Thanks Mike |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I only wish I had the resources to do a lot of things that I would like to do to the Vision. The first and foremost would be make a solo seat rider. This is something I have thought about since the day I got it. I have a lot of ideas on how to do this, but the end result is to make the pillon area a mini-trunk, matching the lines of the Vision as a Steet edition. The trick of this whole sit-up is that it does not affect the overall configuration, going from Tour, to Steet, to Solo at anytime.
Sometimes my imagination runs away with me. |

Posts: 131 Edmond, OK 2012 Vision, 2012 Cross Country | Change.... nothing to the trunk area of the bike, I ride my Vision because it is different and not like everyone else. I also ride it because it drives my friends up the wall because I get all of the compliments and question from everyone who walks up to us when we are out. The only change I can think of that would make it better is to put remote controlled mirrors on it. There is enough room behind the mirrors for a small motor which would still keep the bike so far ahead of the other bikes it would be unreal.
Everyone have a wonderful holiday season. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | The things I would like are:
Remote control lock and unlock for the side bags and trunk.
Reduced pull of the clutch. Why put a hydraulic clutch on the Vision and make the pull equal to that of a cabled clutch?
Here is what others might want.
Wiring Harness "No Cut Mod" and output jack.
A "Plug and Go" mod that could plug into the main wiring harness where the Center Brake Light mod is done that would let you do the center brake mod without touching the harness.
It could also have a jack on it with Left Turn, Right Turn, Brake and Ground outputs to make trailer lights or the "4710 Trunk Light mod" work as a plug and go mod. These could be buffered outputs to protect the Vision's Primary harness.
For the GPS users.
Adapter plug for the "GPS Connector" that would output 12 Volts and input the GPS audio to the sound system. (most likely a stereo 1/8 inch jack where both left and right are connected to mono to feed the Vision).
Thanks for asking...keep up the good work! |

Posts: 763 Anderson, IN (48mi NE of downtown Indianapolis) | I saw a Vision with a trunk from a Victory Cross bike. The Cross trunk is a bit more squarish compared to the Vision. I thought it looked out of place. It really upset the style of the Vision. The stock Vision trunk blends really well with the rest of the bike. It doesn't look like a quick release square box after thought.
Changes:
-Stereo: The functionality is great, but the sound quality is less than desirable. Even with upgraded amp and speakers it still is lacking clarity and fequency range.
-Larger saddle bags
-Adjustable height passenger floorboards
-Get rid of the spring clip nuts and mold real nuts into the plastic.
-Lower deflectors should be stock, but completely removable for those that want the sleeker look. Kind of like removing the trunk and putting the color matching blanking plate in its place.
-Some way to see the console switches at night.
-Easy access air filter.
-Something more decorative than that stamped sheet metal license plate holder. Such a beautiful bike with a piece of tin hanging off the back. That is the first thing I upgraded.
-A windshield without the cutouts to keep the wind off my hands in the winter. (I realize this would require redesign of the dash so the windshield would still go up and down).
Other than that, the Vision is perfect. |

Remote key lock, louder horn, mirrors with a built in magnifier spot mirror in the upper corner to reveal what is right behind the bike, turn signal LED's in the mirrors. More bass response without distortion on the speakers. Better reception range for FM/AM, perhaps an angled antenna mounted on the top of the trunk to increase the range. A HUD display for warning lights/ compass heading. Just a few thoughts, other wise she's a great bike. |

Couple that to an integrated TPMS system, harder (less wearable) kickstand pad and on-the-fly adjustable rear suspension, and I think it would be more than perfect! |

The one thing I would love to see is some sort of passenger floorboard extenders (highway pegs for the passenger). I have a ton of space to reposition my feet and legs, but the spousal unit is limited to small adjustments. I would think something like this would be fairly simple, but my simple mind can't come up with a solution.

Something with the same sort of functionality as the kuryakyn passenger pegs for the E-glides/roadkings
http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go/Home.ProductDetail/catID/10/sc...
Oh yeah, and an adjustable passenger back cushion for the tour pack ; maybe something incorporating a couple of air bladders and a squeeze bulb / pump to change the angle of the seat back and add a little lumbar support.

There is a big enough demand for lowers... so we are in the process of mocking up for them. I will post pics of the progress over the holidays. If all goes well should be available in Feb.
We fully intend to take the Vision to the next level in the visionary department.
As for the solo seat... this is a little more work.. I would need to find atleast 6 customers that would want to buy this mod. in order to put the time that it requires to design the parts. |

Full duplex bluetooth intercom and stereo music (which no-one has accomplished effectively yet). Better airflow control at the feet without the lower deflectors (I'm dreaming here). Trunk removal as easy as it is accomplished on the Cross Country. Better stock brake pads. ABS stock on all Visions. Put a helmet lock below the trunk (similar to the Goldwing) so you can still fill the trunk on trips but lock your helmet when you stop to eat . Maybe add a compass reading on the digital dispay on the console. Go ahead and stick the radio antenna on the trunk 'cause the other isn't working very well. |

Posts: 506 Woodland Hills, CA | The Vision is a great bike, but with some help could be even better. I applaud you Mike for working to bring new products to the market for the rest of us. As far as my wish list is concerned, much of it has already been stated here, and while some of these things are likely within your ability to develop, others may be left to Victory (and good luck with that!).
Anyway, here are my major items:
? Bright LED Brake and Turn Lights for the Trunk and Mirrors.
? MUCH louder horn.
? Illuminated Dash Switches.
? Larger Saddle Bags.
? Redesigned Instrument Cluster to include all instrumentation including GPS (GPS not mounted on the Dash!) and iPod readout (similar to the BMW....car, not bike). Perhaps all digital.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents on the subject. Best of luck! |

Posts: 102 Parkersburg WV | Hi, I can help as far as the helmet holder problem: There is a product called Helmet Guardian. I installed this on my 09 vision tour. I drilled 2 holes in the upper license bracket and it installs with tamper proof screws and nuts. IM going to try to post a pic but if it doesnt work and anyone want to se it just let me know and I will e-mail it to you. This works great=looks great and works even better with the helmet lock extentions.
For info on it got to Dual Sport Touring type in helmet guardian and a pic should show up. This product is made in Tennesee.

Simple enough to do... all you need is a small remote, and fab some bracketry under the panel. Hook a rocker switch that will activate the switch. Its a can do item... but this is the first request for this i have ever had. |

Beleve it or not you just about described the "AIR RIDE" that we provide. I know people think??? air ride. Its not for me. Its totally adjustable in height. Contains a seperate switch for a hydrolic adjustment for damping.
Does not bounce like the cheap set ups.
The hydrolic adjustment lets you set the tension. Most high end cars run on this same design... air with hydrolic. |

| I just completed the lowering of the front and rear suspension 1.00 inch on my 08 vision. I also added the 2.0 inch drop seat from Heavy Metal Designz. It was a huge improvement from the stock height of the bike. Since I am 5'5" the lower height makes a tremendous difference when pulling up to a stop sign/light. I now can get my feet completely flat with room to spare. The suspension lowering parts also came from HMD. I have not been able to ride much with the weather here in the midwest but I have not noticed any difference in the handling of the bike. |

Posts: 785 Mt. Have provisions for another, higher set of road pegs, reroute the battery plug up off the floor (I know it's been demonstrated where to tap in, I'm just thinking as a convenience for new owners). Make the glove box more accessable with the bike stopped and the bars kicked over to the left.
And, my #! bitch point, fix the crossover line (or the vent system) between tank halves so you don't have to nurse the last gallon or so into the tank! Everyone else is ready to go, and there you are, spoon feeding the last of your fuel in a shot glass full @ a time. |

I'm not in a contest to see how long it takes to fill up my tank, but since I did this it becomes a smooth action. IF you have to shake it, the foot is already on the floor board, but I don't do that often. |
