What do I have to do to join a motorcycle club?
As the saying goes, If you have to ask the question, you probably won't understand the answer. The key words are Motorcycle Club, which means they are true motorcycle enthusiasts and their motorcycle is their primary means of transportation. On the average a club member will ride 20,000 mile plus a year, and this means rain, snow, or sunshine. Each Charter varies in their requirement, but if you're really interested you should talk to a member in your area. And if you have to ask where the nearest Charter is to you....you aren't ready to join a Motorcycle Club.
Thought that was interesting.
Hope everyone has a great and safe Thanksgiving.
Be very careful out there, with all the groping going on at the airport more cagers are on the road and they are driving worse than ever. I left work yesterday and before I got home listening to the radio there were two accidents that blocked the road entirely along the route I travel. Also, in reading the traffic I backed off just seconds before two cagers tried to take the space I would have been in. Fortunately they finally saw each other and settled down before something happened.

Here a MC has a bad wrap in general, not just because of that one guy but the rep they have... I got asked to join one this year and i told them NO... they were so shocked that i turned them down. they acted like i should of been honored.. their rules i didnt like.. etc |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | yeah i used to have a vest with tons of patches and i actually been told to take it off when i went to a bar that had a sign that said NO COLORS.. i told them nothing on my vest is about any group OR club. so now i have a plain jane vest. just to not have to go through the crap.. plus most of my patches were kawasaki related so it was time for a new vest anyhow. |

They also have cool patches. |

Posts: 101 Cold Lake Alberta Canada | Here in Canada there are many different groups to join. I am a member of the Red Knights, and The UN NATO motorclcle group. Neither group is a 1% er orginization. We wear colors and have never had a problem anywhere in Canada or any parts of the US that we ride. There are web sites for both groups and some research can be helpful in finding a group or association to join. There are many days that the jean jacket and fresh are are all that I ride with.
Group morals and values that align with mine is what I look for. |

That is because of a little known rule which makes it a crime to recruit someone into a club, esp a 1% club. A whole club in either Utah or Oregon, (can't remember which state) was jailed recently for recruiting. I know our club will not ask anyone to join. |

I've got one knocked out, one that holds the world record for the most participants of an event Saddle Sore here in Virginia. I've knocked out easily several 1,000 mile days but this one was documented. I don't consider it any club though, just a recognition. Steve, you're one of the top dogs though, in your little excursions. |
