Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | I read everything available about this install and began yesterday afternoon after receiving my VFC in the mail. Using long hook nosed pliers and a long screw driver I popped off the front injector connection no problem first try-the rear one is still attached after several attempts and the red retainer top popped off on my last try-I can see the release lever pushing in as I gently wiggle/lift the connector but can't seem to get it to release, and now the whole assembly seems kind of loose. Decided to back up and return to square one-that front O2 connection was a bitch to get snapped back together. Bike seems to be running fine but I know that rear injector connector's a bit beat up and now I'm just regrouping and contemplating how to get where I want to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian

I spent some time just working the connectors on and off using the VFC connectors to practice. I used WD40 to make the going easier. The thing you have to realize is that it does not take much effort. |

Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | I appreciate the support-I was just taking a deep breath and thinking out loud, I'll give it a squirt of WD prior to my next attempt. Perhaps a ride in the cool mountain air will clear my head and I'll give it another go in the near future. Thanks, Brian |

Posts: 111 Salina, KS | The front O2 sensor connection is easier to access by removing the plastic shield at the front of the engine. You can also go to your local NAPA & get 2 each, male/female GM Weatherpack connectors & 4 seals to plug onto the disconnected ends of the O2 sensors & harness so corrosion won't get in them should you ever remove your VFC3. |
