just purchased a 08 premium tour and want the gps unit i see it cost 1000 dollars do i have any opptions. I have a garmin street pilot 330 now but do they sell a mounting kit for the bike for it. Have 500 miles on the bike and the only problem is sometimes my ipod locks up, not often but whats the problem. Why did they use those small accessory adaptors on there now i guess i need to buy some adaptors to charge my cell phone and heated gloves. I asked the dealer about the accessory plug and he said it is a german plug. i thought this was an american bike why do it have a german accessory plug. well if thats my only problem i guess i should count my blessings. where can i buy some adaptors

Jerry, as it stands now, Victory only has a mount for the GPS they offer.  I have occasionally used a Garmin Nuvi 660 with a suction cup mount with no problems.  If you peruse this forum further you will find extensive threads about what others have done or are doing with GPS.  There are threads dealing with the power outlet as well.  See http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=271&posts=11&mid=2636&highlight=powerlet&highlightmode=1&action=search#M2636 for info on the powerlet adapter with a link to one place you can order them.  I went down to my local BMW Motorcycle dealer and they had the same adapters in stock for the same price.  Good luck.  Enjoy the new bike and welcome to Vision-Riders.

It would seem everyone has their own GPS they want to use on the bike. I just ponied up and got the one Victory has, and like it.. but to each their own. Browse this site, and you will find answers to many, many questions.----Metalguy

Jerry,
I use a garmin 330c street pilot, using the car kit it comes with a suction cup mount.
use a small dab of petrolieum jelly to make a good seal it will not move after applying. no need to drill holes in the console.
good luck with your new vision
p.s you should be using a first gen. nano ipod with the flash drive, full size ipods should'nt be used
hard drives have been known to crash

Northwest of you

I am using my Nuvi 650 with the suction mount, but, had considered getting a 2720 from ebay for around $200 and buying the Victory

mount for $90, which comes with the cable to plug it in for the integrated system.

Also the 2610 uses the same cable connection, but, if you already have a unit, just switch the Powerlet in the glove box to a standare

power outlet and plug it right in.
