| I just got my bike back from the shop. They chromed the rear tip over protectors and the risers for the rear passenger floorboards. It made for a nice improvement, but the chromer told the shop never to send the rear tip-overs to them again. I had them polish out the casting marks in the rear tip over protectors before chroming. It turns out the rear tip-over protectors are made of a porous alloy and did not take the chrome as well as the billet aluminum risers did. The risers look like a mirror. The rear tip over has some slight pin-holes but is a definite improvement over the gray, especially when the front is already chromed. Pictures to follow. Tim |
