| I had seen the armrest that others have done and wanted a little something different. I wanted shiny ones. I took 1/8" x 1" alum lengths for my brackets and polished them to give a good shine. Please let me know what you think. Dain

| They mount like this http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=7099&pos... but no clevis pin it was too sloppy so I used s/steel bolts and carbon fiber washers. I can shorten the length if you wanted. Now that the first pair is made. I am ready to do others on my days off(Tues and Wens) cost would be $125 plus shipping. It will take you about an hour to install as I would have everything predrilled except where you have to drill into your bike, and full instructions. So send me a message through the site if you want a set as I have to order the flat bar ahead of time. I lost the pictures as I was doing it, put the card in the computer and lost all my photo's but as soon as I do another set I will post new pictures. |

Nice, but I'm not sure how well the aluminum will hold up. I've fabricated some 1/8" x 1" brackets for our Spyder and the vibration broke them at the bends. So I was a little head shy to try and use aluminum.
You did simplify it more by making the bends at right angles. For some reason I couldn't get right angles to work right, but it looks like you did. Bending the arms was not easy when your using steel flat bar, I busted my vise in the process.
I had the same issues with the clevis pins, but solved it by using large washers, and shiming it with neoprene washers. Bolts work just as well, just make sure you use some thread lock.
Have you made your passenger happier? |

| Would you please post all of the measurements for each piece. I need the information that would be needed to make a pair of armrest for a Vision. |
