Posts: 457 Green Bay, WI United States | Have been riding "Twister" more and it sure has a different smell when you park it after it is hot. This have anything to do with the "CATS"? My TCD does not have this smell after you park. Smells very very slightly like brake pads. Guess I better check that the brake calipers are not sticking. Anyone else know what I am smelling?

Posts: 457 Green Bay, WI United States | Well rode the livin crap out of "Twister" this weekend and it still has that rode hard put away wet smell so I will learn to live with it. Really hoping I caused it. I did indeed ride it hard and put it away wet and will accept it's just a normal smell. |

Posts: 111 Salina, KS | I use Bug-Slide to clean my entire bike & it will give off an odor when you get it hot after cleaning.....BUT, the last few times I've smelled a new odor that seems to originate near the rear cylinder exhaust port. I don't see any evidence of a leak, but ordered new gaskets from Lloydz just in case. It almost seems like something may be between the pipe & heat shield. I'll find out soon when I pull my exhaust. |

Posts: 457 Green Bay, WI United States | The gaskets from Lloydz all but cured the backfiring on my TCD. I also have a Lloydz fuel controller and customized stock pipes on it. The last ride of the year the check engine light came on just like towards the end of the riding season a year ago. It was the map sensor last time and I think it's done again. My dealer in Elkhorn told me that by adjusting the fuel controller like I do to comp out cold and hot weather the map sensor does not like this. I have mentioned this else where but really wanted to let you know the gaskets kick butt!!!
