| Maybe they were thinking about saving space or because so many owners want what other bikes have they used the BMW style plugs?
I think all the '11 models have the standard style. They learn. |

Posts: 111 Prairie Dog Heaven, CO | I have the regular (cig) outlets on my '10 and wish they were the powerlet style. This style is much more common on M/C than the gig type plugs. |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | Most of the heated riding gear on the market today comes with the small Powerlet style plugs standard, and just plugs in, unless you opt for the hard-wired version. I used the stock outlets on our Vision, with portable controllers for our heated gear, until I got around to hard-wiring in permanently mounted controllers. The Powerlet (BMW) style plugs are much more secure than the cigarette style. I consider the change to the cigarette style on the new Vision to be a move backwards. In any case, adapters are readily available (to go either direction) from Powerlet, Cycle Gadgets, Honda, BMW, and many other sources.
